This assignment is related to development of
leadership plan related to my personality. I was required to take self
confidence test, emotional intelligence test, and team leader skills test in
order to identify strength and weaknesses of my leadership skills. On the basis
of these identified leadership skills, I formulated my leadership development
plan.

Self Confidence Test:

Self confidence test is also known as self
assessment test or self esteem test. According to the results of this test, my
self assessment level is mild which indicates that the level of my self esteem
is comparatively low. This suggests that I have less confidence in myself.
Results score clearly suggest that I am experiencing symptoms related to
different common people with low level of self confidence. It is important to
understand that leaders must have high level of confidence in themselves in
order to take significant decisions and stick to those decisions. It is very
important for leaders and top level management in any organization to have
confidence on their steps and approach in order to achieve the formulated goals
and objectives of the organization. Most of the times, confidence is considered
to be one of the most significant element during different business meetings
and it is considered to be a significant element for convincing the other
involved parties in the business meeting. Without proper confidence level,
leaders and managers are not able to manage their team members and team is not
able to achieve the assigned goals and objectives which eventually influence
the performance of the leader in negative manner.

Leadership
skill test is used in order to identify the leadership style of any individual.
According to my leadership skills test results, I achieved 87 score out of
hundred. According to my score, it is suggested that I am able to envision a
clear direction for my company and team. My results also suggested that I am
able to effectively communicate my plan to others in such a manner that they
feel excited towards my communicated plan. Results also suggested that I have a
high level of Charisma which is required in order to convince other people by
sharing ideas with them. This is considered to be one of the most significant scales
related to team leadership mostly because of the fact that employees are
willing to achieve goals if they are passionate about those assigned goals and
objectives. It is important for the team leader to make sure that they motivate
the team members to achieve the formulated goals. People who have such
expertise are considered to be innovative and visionary. They are also
considered to be confident in their ability to persuade and convince other
people. They mostly consider it one of the most significant methods to enhance
the Awareness of others related to the vision of the company.
Emotional
Intelligence Test:
Emotional
intelligence test is mostly used in order to identify the ability of a specific
person to empathize with others. According to the results of my emotional
intelligence test, I secured 6 out of 10 for self awareness, 2 out of 10 for
self management, 5 out of 10 for social awareness and 1 out of 10 for
relationship management. Results clearly suggest that my level of self
awareness and social awareness is comparatively higher as compared to sales
management and relationship management. Results also suggest that I am not good
at managing relations and managing myself.
Comparatively
higher score of self awareness and social awareness clearly suggest that I am
able to understand the society in more effective and efficient manner. I am
also able to manage myself in effective and efficient manner. One of the most
significant aspects of leaders and top level managers in any organization is
high level of self awareness. In order to achieve the goals and objectives of
the organization, it is important to be self aware. This will help that
specific individual to identify his strength and weaknesses in order to achieve
the formulated goals and objectives. Without proper score related to self
awareness, one cannot be successful in any organization.
Leadership Plan
My self assessment
suggests that my communication skills are very much strong. I am able to
convince other people as well in order to achieve the formulated goals and
objectives. This is one of the most significant aspects of leaders and top
level managers in any organization. My personal vision statement is that the
employees working in teams should be motivated by the team leaders continuously
in order to make sure that the formulated goals and objectives are achieved. My
core values are self confidence and positive communication skills. I am also
able to convince other people to understand my point and it helps the managers
and leaders to achieve the formulated cause and objectives in the organization.
Self awareness is
another significant element for the success of leaders and top level managers.
My scores suggest that self awareness is one of my core values and it will help
me to achieve the formulated goals and objectives not only at individual level
but also at team level. Other than self awareness, Social awareness is my core
value as well. Social awareness will help me to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of my team members. It will also help me to enhance my relationship
with my team members which will eventually help me to achieve be formulated
goals and objectives.
As far as my
weaknesses are concerned, I am not a confident person which might negatively influence
my leadership abilities and the results of my leadership. Another weakness
related to my personality is weakness related to self management. It is
important to understand that leaders must have high score related to
self-management. In order to cover factors like self management and confidence,
I will use my strength related to significant communication skills in order to
achieved reformulated goals and objectives of the organization.
Feedback on Leadership Plan:
I completely agree with the feedback related
to my abilities and weaknesses. In order to evaluate my performance as team
leader, I will frequently analyze the achievement of goals and objectives on
daily basis. If the goals and objectives are not being achieved then I will
make sure that I implement required amendments in order to make sure that the
goals and objectives are achieved accordingly (Thomson, 1998). In order to analyze my performance, I
will collect data related to activities like how much task have I assigned to a
specific individual in the team and how much time that specific individual has
taken in order to complete that assigned task or objective (Maserang, 2002). This will help me to identify the
strength of my team which will eventually help me to understand whether my team
will be able to achieve the overall goals and objectives or not.
Another technique which can be implemented in
order to improve my leadership skills is too frequently provide feedback to
team mates on their updated work. It will help to increase the motivation and
confidence of team members which will eventually improve their individual
performance level. By increasing the individual performance level, overall
performance level of team and Organization will also increase (ying, 2004). There are different
other techniques which can be implemented in order to evaluate the performance
of team members. One of the most significant techniques is implementation of
Management by objectives and checklist system. Implementation of checklist
system will help me to identify achievement of team members by task and this
will help me to further analyze the daily achievements and performance of my
team members.
Another significant technique which can be
implemented in order to evaluate the performance of employees and team members
is self evaluation (HR Tool, 2017). This will help me to identify the
strengths and weaknesses of my team members which can be resolved after
effective identification during the process of self evaluation. Another
significant technique which can be implemented in order to collect data related
to performance of employees is implementation of 360 degree feedback (Suri, 2017). It will help me to
identify the performance level of my team members which will eventually
increase my control over my team members. I will be able to implement necessary
changes according to the feedback provided.
Conclusion on development of leadership plan
My
core abilities according to my test results are strong communication skills,
Social awareness, self awareness and mild confidence. It is important for
leaders and managers to have significant confidence level in order to make sure
that the team members follow the leader. This lack of confidence can be
accommodated with strong communication skills and self awareness skills. I will
use these abilities in order to make sure that the team members working under
me achieve the formulated goals and objectives.
I will use different techniques like 360
degree feedback, self evaluation, frequent analysis of tasks provided to team
members and other related techniques in order to analyze the performance of
team members working under me.
