Category: Sociology Paper Type: Homework Writing Reference: N/A Words: 890

The 1950s and 60s civil rights movement of America is the centuries-long struggle of Blacks community of America against Racial discrimination and White supremacy especially in the southern region of the United States.

The main aim of civil rights is to give the equity system to all of the individuals including the black people and all other colours of people. The movement had roots go back in decades-long mass struggle and protest of African slaves and their predecessor to abolish slavery. Rosa Parks, John Lewis, Martin Luther King was a key figure of this civil movement. (Santoro, 2008)

Civil rights movement of America brings significant changes in the history and politics of the United States of America. The country started to address common, and human rights mishandle that had waited in American culture for a century.

The US government courts and Congress, in the end, gave increasingly complete political rights to African Americans and started to review longstanding monetary and social imbalances. Adding more, during 1960s hesitant Congress has to pass milestone social liberties enactment.

United States Congress members of this era played prominent roles in advocating for reform. First Black American president Barack Obama is the striking indication of these struggle and reforms. (Anon., March 18, 2019). Subsequently, the civil right movement of America played a significant role to show the nations of the modern world that the power to alter in reality resides within the will of the people. It creates a spark in the heart and mind of other depressed nations around the world to fight for its rights. It was the base and inspiration for all Revolution, Movement, Activities, and Actions emerged for the rights of pressed peoples and nation.

In 1955, a Montgomery bus boycott was established in which Rosa Park is arrested in order to give the seat to the white passenger. The next from that say a man named Martin Luther proposed a boycott of the citywide on the public transport system for the racial segregation. After this, the black individuals of America use to take the other rides rather than the transport services and this boycott is continued for almost 381days.

In the year of 1956 in June, the court said that this is unconstitutional for the segregated by keeping laws in place. With respect to this, the Supreme Court of America also agreed on this statement (Thornton & Mills, 2014).

The next one is the March on Washington, in a march, there is a large number of the peoples are available that participates in this marc, and these participants are calculated as 200,000 to 300,000. This march is developed towards the Washington D.C in the year of 1963 on August 28. This march is done in order to get the rights of jobs and education for black people.

In the comparison of the above two issues, it is calculated that black individuals, as well as other individuals, have to face many problems according to civil rights. Adding more, now the black and white people have the same rights with respect to this modern era (Austin & Algernon, 2013).

Overall, the 20th-century struggle for civil rights created a suffering change of the legitimate status of African Americans and different victims of discrimination around the world.

So civil right movement‘s outcome was that the individuals have come to live in harmony with one another. Harmony and concordance are one of the best and hardest accomplishments one could make and to see an entire network accomplish this is tremendous. (Morris, 1986)

It additionally expanded the obligation of the legislature and different governments to uphold social liberties laws and the arrangements of the Civil War-period constitutional amendment.

The civil rights always played an important role in any country. If any country wanted to make progress and increase their productivity so they must have to follow all civil rights in their country, these civil rights are quite different from human rights. In the United States of America, there are different civil rights that include.

The US government must have to give their citizens protection from discrimination. The next civil right is related to the freedom of speech. Because through this they can easily able to share their feelings and enable the air of democracy in the country. The next rights related to equal protection in the country. The person is black or white; he must be treated equally. He must be free and also fell happy to enjoy civil rights in his country. This can only be done through equal protection of the citizen in the country.
