Introduction of TQM Measured Students’ Satisfaction in the Jordanians’ Private University for Achieving

Society of Arab is noticing many challenges at every stage, and the developing countries have taken reasonable attention in the interest of high-level education. A few examples of the problems such as insufficient education system, economic level, globalization and increased level of the understanding in the middle of Arab society. The level of mind has been created by this changing about the importance of choosing the right and the most beautiful universities for getting an education. This would affect students’ enrolment decisions in the future because they will start to compete between universities' achievements. So, this issue imposed a necessity to use modern management conditions to reach the required purposes easily in universities. Typically, the challenges have developed a surrounding full of competition between the institutions at all levels. In result, education institutions were boosted up to build and improve the procedure of management to serve good quality of education. Also, extending the performance of institutional knowledge is a global issue in all countries in the world, institutions began to return to this challenging environment. As the example, institutions started to understand the interest of changing, and to implement the new procedure of management to maintain level with the development of the surrounded environment for progressive and benefit.

 

The initial analysis points out interest towards TQM especially in the education {Zabadi, 2013 #8}sector 8 (Zabadi, 2013; Salameh et al.,, 2011; 9 Altahayneh, 2013) 10. Because TQM is designed to encourage parents, students, stakeholders, employees and regulators of the high level of education that graduates students are sufficiently skilled to meet requirements of human resources. (Yankson, 2013) 22. In this analysis the analyzer influence to build a logical model for TQM driven from several solutions from the initial investigation in structured to observe institutions’ quality of education using student satisfaction as a dependent variable, and to answer the following questions:

1.       Is there any interest developed of (participation1, development2, and evaluation3) towards student satisfaction?

2.       Is there an interest of TQM towards excellence of institutions?

 

The Concept of TQM

The point of view of TQM (Total Quality Management) relating to the capacity of institutions to implement good services for the satisfaction of customer by including everyone at all stages in all behaviors. TQM as procedure supports for continuously meeting and learning new requirements. It includes conditions that are: (Total) point out everyone is involved, (Quality) suggest meeting the proper needs for achieving uniqueness by administrating the ongoing operations lead by the inner process. (Management) Indicate to the committed executives Sangeeta Sahney et al., (2004). 28 Quality is a growing procedure. It guarantees the sustaining of the functions of management by indirect estimate needs. It is the intensity in which a collection of a characteristic of the situated activities meets the needs. It is working on meeting satisfaction of organization, by keep seeking continuous progressing and developments Sahney et al., (2004). Still, the idea has no specific formulation and has no particular explanation because TQM is involved in a huge range of prospectives to access (Lawler, 1994) 30 ( this author was taken from (Sangeeta Sahney et al., 2004). It about relative to specific targets in the institutions that can develop an argument about whether the relevant targets are attained or not.  According to (Cruickshank, (2003)17 the view was first enforced in the US at Valley Technical College, as a conclusion this institution has become more effective in many different fields such as graduates, employer replacement and satisfaction. It is assumed that the integration of the TQM aspects in higher education is a basic procedure of holding process just like: ongoing procedure to be following up, developing learning and teaching.  6.       Methodology of TQM Measured Students’ Satisfaction in the Jordanians’ Private University for Achieving

Meanwhile, the academic institutions aim is to maintain or develop the graduate that are qualified or strong, in this study they tend to investigate Jordan’s private university graduates. (Gruber,2010) As the individual's universities selected the high calculation in the sectors.  Furthermore, we nominated occupational members since the researcher can reach the faculty members or more involved with the aim of the faculty.  (Drs.) About the TQM variables to fill their questionnaires. And we nominated learners those are predictable for the year 2017/18 near to graduate as they have a lot of experiences instead of those who are doing a study at the starting level. Although we reflect the purpose of our sample. In the ministry of Jordan high education, the number of universities is 17.as that we consider near, the researcher reached to the ten universities. While the students that are graduated from the entire universities are 200 or 150 members of the faculty from the business. In the study, they were distributed on the concerned categories or used a questionnaire. As we acquired 100 from the members or 150 filled questionnaires from the students, and this goes with Sekran & Bougie (2011) in this questionnaire it included the TQM aspects in our research that were derived. There are four questions of every character, like (8) question for the student satisfaction Total questions (20) or TQM 12 items. As it was sent towards the department of a head to the faculty of Occupation in the universities to get them back in that order, it must be filled by the concerning classification. 

 

7.       Statistical Treatment Methods

As it determines the data collection, the statistical methods or the “SPSS” program has been used: Means and standard deviations, Liner Regressions Reliability or Cronbach Alpha test,

 

For the variables of TQM, the “A Cronbach Alpha test” has been used for (evaluation, development, and participation). For the questionnaire, the value is = 0.90. Therefore, they are more than 60%, so all costs are accepted ( Malhotra, 2004; Raza & Hanif, 2013) for the TQM the Independent variable is: (evaluation participation or development) as it can be measured on the point that is five Likert scale by the 1, it is deficient or to the 5 it is very high. For each independent aspect was used to make sure of the variance between the items of the variable. For each independent variable is less than ten the variance inflation factor VIF values, with acceptance varieties among (0.420-0.560). As it means that among the independent variables there is no occurrence for any multicollinearity problem. Our sample Business faculty members the control variables are (education level, age, experience in teaching, gender, education level or teaching tenure). As per the variables control; males are 60% respondent.

 In terms of the age, it is interesting to note that 65% fell into the 40-55, with 32% having worked with the university five years or more and 55% having ten years or more of career experience. As for the educational level, the majority (70%) were Ph.D. degree holders. While the means and the Standard Deviation has been used for the TQM variables and indicated that the participation factor has the highest rank were Mean = 4.333.  SD = (.512517). The most item cited in the participation variable was “The democratic atmosphere in participation is almost tangible in the decision-making process” means 3.76. While “Employees are selecting the best decisions that are taken by the top management.” was the less means 3.32.

The evaluation factor ranked the second at means 4.122. While the most item cited in the evaluation was “Top management keep controlling the internal process to avoid mistakes” at means 3.66. While the item “Following the ongoing process regularly depends on the period” ranked the lowest at means 3.44.  Development factor has the lowest correlation with TQM means at 3.77. And the most item cited was “The university keeps managing and improving activities and vital programs in institutions” means at 3.76 while the lowest item was “The university meets the demands of the faculty members continually,” means at3.21.as for dependent variable student satisfaction: the most cited item was “Atmosphere among students” means at 3.59. While the lowest was “University building” means at 3.27.

 

We employed five regression models to test the relationship between TQM and institutions’ excellence. We tested our hypotheses’ data at a significant level (0.05). Based on the confidence intervals it appears that the direct, indirect and total effects are statistically significant at the alpha equal 0.05 level. Our results showed that there is a positive and a significant relationship exists between TQM and the institution’s excellence because the value of the standardized beta coefficient of TQM toward the institution’s excellence was 0.609. This value suggests a positive relationship between the two variables, and the related probability value was less than 0.050 indicating a significant statistical effect for the first hypotheses. As for the second hypotheses, we found a positive and significant relationship between participation and student satisfaction because the standardized beta coefficient between the two variables was 0.715. The third hypothesis indicated for a positive and significant association between development and student satisfaction because the normalized beta coefficient between the two variables was 0.592. The last assumption reported positive, and a substantial correlation between evaluation and student satisfaction because the normalized beta coefficient between the two variables was 0.671.

8.       Discussion: It can be said that the nature of this research is descriptive. We emphasized that in institutes of Jordan, TQM has a higher mean of 4.222, specifically the variable of participation as an independent variable with a higher way of 4.333. This suggests TQM that in the institutes of Jordan, TQM is more likely to go along with sharing and participation. It is indicated by our study that TQM is more or less concerned with the capability of top management to produce an environment of sharing, teamwork, and participation. It is the skill of sharing decisions among senior management and members of the faculty for making sure that all participants are familiar and obtaining the proper information. But higher SD and means are indicated by other variables and participation variables were observed as related to TQM. We have explained that involvement in institutes points out that participants are more likely to be aware of the decision that is taken. Concerning the taken decisions, they prefer having justifications. Through another perspective, the society of Arabic determined by the 21 members of collectivist orientation like to share knowledge and work as a team (Hofested, 2003). It means that the goals which are required are impacted by teamwork. Through another perspective, Jordan’s institutes must be familiar with the abilities of their workers like the item which is being selected by workers are merely the best choices which are chosen by the top management, and it was not considered higher.

9.       Simply put, it points out that regardless of how participants are obtaining the democratic environment, some decisions are still being held by the top management which would not be suitable for the expectations and skills of employees. It is better for institutes’ top management to consider this part by arguing this with their participants according to their requirements. Even though the internal processes evaluation was observed as the TQM evaluation’s second variable, the plane and the regularity of taking the process was considered as the lower mean about 3.44 indicating that universities control processes, but they might overlook some aspects in TQM due to the failure to show up regularly. It needs them to plan a schedule for following the actual performance with planned goals which would play an important role in controlling the possible mistakes. Lastly, even though the variable of development pointed out the lowest, towards TQM, it still has a higher indicator. The skill of institutes was considered higher in improving and managing the processor program. It simply means that about the application of new processes and continuously adjusting the process for matching the goals, they are not unfamiliar. Although we can explain that Jordan’s institutes don’t focus on the requirements of members, this would cause delay and slow the whole process up. The outcomes of research highlight that our hypothesis generates an essential bond between student satisfaction and TQM.

All TQM variable (evaluation, development, and participation) evolved to boost the satisfaction of student. We see the involvement of variables has a long relationship with the achievement of the student. The certification for results obtained to recommend that, admitting the involvement among top organization & its members will guide the top organization to be informed about the requirement of students from the staff members. Needs of the student can be transferred by hearing from members. We analysis that satisfaction of student has a high mean 3.95 in an atmosphere of the student. We can justify this by recommending the students behave nicely and there is no conflict among them. On the other side, the universities are not satisfying the student. It’s excellent to pay facts which are harming the prosperity and progressive.

 

10.   Conclusion on TQM Measured Students’ Satisfaction in the Jordanians’ Private University for Achieving
