Strengths of KFC

I would start by saying I have the desire to learn more about the world of economics as well as the world of business in general. As a result, I am more motivated towards not only earning the degree but also start my professional career. Determined to become successful, I have also learned numerous languages including French, Tamil, English, Italian and Chinese, which I’m currently in the process of learning. I have had the goal to become a successful business operator, just like my father has done. I have therefore earned some training, knowledge and skill about management and operating a business, from my father as well as the numerous places where I have worked.

For instance, I have worked as a front of house cashier at KFC, an American multinational company. At KFC, I was able to improve my customer service skills, communication skills as well as the ability to lead and motivate people, teams and organisations. I also worked as a manager at Tesco, another large corporation, giving me the knowledge of how a business operates. I was also able to understand the skills needed to deal with customers directly, giving me a different perspective of the business world. My current skills, work experience and the degree on offer are relevant to my goal and will be a great success to achieve my goal as a successful business entrepreneur.

Weaknesses of KFC

I was moved to the United Kingdom from Italy, meaning I have had to learn English as a second language, before undertaking the course. As a result, I have had to spend much money and time to learn English. It has therefore delayed my higher education path, albeit by a few years. Another challenge is that I have had to start a new life in a foreign nation, although it is an experience in both personal and professional growth.

To deal with my short attention span, I will reward myself every time I go through a complete lecture. I believe that doing this will act as a motivation me. In addition, I also plan on taking a cup of tea before every lecture, because it has a calming effect and also helps in improving the cognitive performance of users. I also will identify the source of my stress through the help of medical experts who will help me in coming up with a better strategy of control of it. To curb my selectivenature, I will study each and every information that we learn regardless of whether I like the topic or not. This will gradually help me stop from being selective in the things that I learn. As for my shyness, I plan on making attempts to interact with people more, for instance, by interacting more with my classmates (Entwistle & Ramsden, 2015). Lastly, I will make efforts of getting over my self-criticism, by appreciating myself more and looking out not to have negative thoughts. Further, I will schedule a maximum amount of time in which I am expected to finish a particular task, to avoid spending an unnecessarily large amount of time on one task.  All these steps will help me get over my weaknesses thus improving my academic performance

Opportunities of KFC

           Regardless of various issues and weaknesses, there are so many opportunities on offer for me. It is a fact that not everyone gets a chance to study in UK so it is a great opportunity that I have got; so now it’s my turn to make it as big as I can. It certainly was difficult to learn English language, but this difficult has passed, and now I am able to write and speak English in good enough manner. This thing is going to increase my opportunities to learn and grow in this environment, because one cannot grow having so many language barriers. I have almost overcome those language barriers, which is allowing me to understand things more easily. Now, I am able to learn things from my class and from my mates. I can discuss any topic with them, which allows me to explore more things. Moreover, it is a great opportunity to complete my current course with good percentage, so that I can also get admission in UK for higher level studies. I believe that UK is land of opportunities, and if I do my things right and study well, and then UK can also offer me great working opportunities as well. I can find a great career path, if I fulfil my responsibilities accordingly. This is a great chance for me to grab every possible opportunity which comes my way so that I can chase my dreams and ambitions in life.

Threats of KFC 

            It is important to understand a basic thing that when there are certain opportunities available, then there will always be few risks and threats involved as well. So, I may come across to face many challenges and threats. I already mentioned about language barriers. It is true that I have become good enough in English, but still, it is not my first language. So, having English as a second language will be a threat for me for few more years, until I get completely proficient in it. The other threat is cultural difference, which I have to cope with. The UK culture is bit different from my native culture, so I have to quickly adopt this culture and understand its different aspects, so that I can adjust with this new place, otherwise I will always be uncomfortable in doing anything. I need to handle these threats very smartly; otherwise I may not be able to grab opportunities, which are coming my ways.
