Body size and Modeling

Category: Arts & Education Paper Type: Essay Writing Reference: APA Words: 690

In this era, young women’s body images have a negative effect because of the slim ideal bodies in media. In advertising, slim and attractive bodies are preferable than others. To discuss policies regarding media images, and the Medical Association concluded, the UK’s government organized a body image summit. In the population of Korea, ninety models and hundred ordinary women’s body density and fat were measured. The ratio between body mass to body fat (%) is very less than ordinary women to models. In the early years, slim become a brand. Plus size models are not hired by the fashion industry. They always prefer thin and attractive models. Being fat, you can’t be able to represent yourself in the community, but you can stay natural. If the fashion industry started to represent all body type models, then people would able to see the beauty in everybody. The images of models in which they have shaper body types are an inspiration for other women. Everything we have is our body, but we don’t value it. In truth, we don’t value ourselves. If we wanted to be appreciated, we should start loving ourselves, which will come on display. To become healthy, we have to take care of ourselves (Czerniawski, 2015).

Health and body type don’t have a relation between them, because it's quite difficult to judge a person according to its body-type whether he/she is healthy or not. Living in a balanced lifestyle will not become your fat or weak. Eating too much unhealthy food and not exercising appear you healthy from outside but you have to face the same problems which fat peoples are facing. Facing heart disease or cancer, we always thought about smoking or any other cause, but this is the main reason for not eating healthy food or not doing exercise. From research, we have come to know that there is more risk to have heart disease due to poor diet. Not only our body is affected, but also our brain is also affected due to pure diet. There are two things to be noticed (Grogan, 2016)

One is that when models who are upsized of the body and the other is that when models who are thinner than the normal body size. In both cases, it’s not a health-based norm because, in the fashion industry, the thinner and attractive models are preferred as compared to upsize body women. The famous models you don’t even know about them are 5feet to 6 Feet tall and are very slim; it’s a beauty norm. In fashion industry advertising is one of the main branches of business, the more your ad is attractive, the more people will reach at your doorstep, that why they use attractive models in their advertisements. This all phenomenon is beauty base norm because, in this, you are not health conscious, you just have to look thinner and attractive, and so the fashion industry pays you more. The critical part of this is that you always have to be fit and active in your field. Otherwise, the fashion industry won’t accept you (Jones, 2018).

In the race of being perfect, we forget ourselves and started to stare at others. This will destroy our health. You can live a better life when you accept what you are. Don’t take care of the society. When someone compliments you, except that, when you like someone’s perfection, express that. Express every single good thing that you are noticing. Stop comparing yourself and be what you are. Nowadays, Social media is an important factor in our lives. So be natural on social media too. Stop becoming unnatural your lives become beautiful (Dawson, 2007).
