            It is true that science fiction film revolves around human beings, because without the involvement of humans, the story cannot give a science fiction imaginative perspective, which is different from real world and real human beings. So, it is always the case that in science fiction stories, the plot revolves around humans and their different problems. In “Super toys Last All Summer Long”, the story comes with a dystopian theme, where a society has been imagined, who is controlled by minority population, whereas majority of the population is not living their lives with comfortable means, and even they have to take permission from the authorities, if they want to bear a child. In this theme, nothing seems perfect, rather everything looks in confusing state, where no one is clear about his/her role in life. The characters of the story are real human being as well as robots, and both are living together in a dystopian world, where future is not looking promising at all. Everything is in a state of mess and confusion, and human beings as well as robots are also not sure about events that what is happening with them.

The story of super toys that last for the summer is inspired by Kubrick for the Al projects. The tale is related to aching of loneliness and the overpopulated futures. The brain Aldiss bristles are related to the science fiction writer and the British author discussed about the science fiction award. The imagination story “super toys last all summer long” was first published by the Harper Bazaar in 1969 and then retreated and anthologized about the tale of intelligent machines and aching loneliness for the overpopulated future. The inspiration behind the project offers the suggestive details for the cinematic cut. The rich and suggestive details are included about the originals. The story considers the lovely trees standing with the perpetual leafs. The seizing flower in the lawn was illustrated attractively. The author demonstrated expressions and emotions of David across the lawn and how he disappeared with the mowervator.             It is important to introduce characters of the story before making a point that which social and human problems have been explored in this story. Monica Swinton is a mother in this story, who has a robotic child name David. Henry is the husband of Monica, whereas Teddy is a robot toy for the companionship of Monica. The story shows an awful reality that Monica and Henry yet have not been allowed to bear a real child, so they have this robot child named David. Monica knows that David is just a robot and he is not her real son, so she does not feel any affection towards David. David is based on artificial intelligence programming, which is advanced enough that David is able to think and make decisions as well as judgments of the situation. He thinks that her mother does not love him as she should, and he always wonders that why it is so. Therefore, he writes letters to complain about this lack of affection, but these letters never come to a conclusion and finish. The story also depicts that Teddy as a Monica’s companion, who is there to help Monica to understand that why she does not feel any affection about her son David. But as Teddy is also a robot, so her abilities are also limited.

            The story is science fiction, which describes a world, where artificial humans are a reality and living as normal people in homes. This future looks to be interesting but unsure as well because a question arises here that why world would need artificial humans in the future, and why authorities will put a ban on bearing real children. It is maybe an indication towards a real human problem, which is increasing population at such a rapid pace. The fact of the matter is that when population is growing so fast, it is important to have enough basic resources for the population. For instance, all human beings need food, water, energy as well as many other resources. So, when population will grow with such rapid pace, it would be hard for the world to cater the needs of such huge population as resources on this planet are being consumed and decreasing with the passage of time. So, this story has tried to link the issue of increasing human population with a science fiction perspective, where issue is tried to be resolved through artificial humans. This human problem has been explored in a context, where there is restriction on giving births to child on will, rather permission is needed to do so.

            It is important to understand that growing population is certainly a human problem, and it can create more difficulties in future. But there is one more human problem, which is explored with regards to robots and artificial humans. The problem is lack of love and affection of real human beings with artificial humans. It is a well known fact that mother and child has great relations of love and affection, and children feel the warmth of mother’s love. This beautiful bond makes this relationship as one of the most attractive ones in a real world perspective. But this wonderful bond is missing between David and Monica. The communication between the mother and son is not happening at all, because actually they are not able to effectively communicate with each other. They have zero mutual understanding and relationship, and their relation is based on misunderstanding between the two. David thinks that his mother does not love him and she turns her back, when he needs any affection of help. On the other hand, Monica also feels the same that David is not comfortable with him, and he tries to avoid Monica. This situation is clearly depicting a human problem, which can arise when artificial humans may become a normal part of human lives. The strong bond, love, affection, and understanding are missing in this relation, and world with so much limitations won’t be a beautiful world to live.

            David also feels that Teddy is treated as lot better than him, and maybe he is their son, who they love more than David. It is another issue with artificial humans that they may be programmed to think about different perspectives, but they lack real emotions and range of thinking and at some point, their abilities are limited, and so they cannot be an alternative to real human children. Teddy has been described as a robot, which is supportive and kind, and do not show any bias against anyone. In a world, where human problems are growing along with their conflicts, it is important to have such robots, which can bring a great balanced approach. But still, it is a big question that such robots will be developed and programmed accordingly. Can they bring a real perspective of life by helping humans in every difficult situation? Nothing conclusive can be said in this regard, but still their role can be critical in so many ways. They can help to solve real life human problems, and assist human beings in doing different kind of tasks. But robots and artificial humans can’t do many things with regards to emotional capabilities, because they cannot be programmed for every given situation in the world.

It can be said that overall story is revolving around a real and unreal world, because real world does not have any artificial humans as yet, but this science fiction story has made them an integral part of the society. This science fiction film also has taken the support of human beings to show a scientific and unreal perspective, which is just based on imagination. The involvement of human is necessary in any science fiction film so that unreal scientific fiction can be described by keeping a parallel perspective of a real human world, otherwise intensity of the science fiction cannot be felt as it should be. The most important human problem, which is being catered in this story is growing human population, because otherwise there is not point to talk about artificial humans as well as putting restrictions on humans to bear a child. If there is any other perspective behind the theme of story, then that is certainly unknown. But one thing was evident throughout the story that human beings were part of every scientific event. The solution provided for growing population with scientific means does not look good enough to deal with the human problem, rather world will have to find any other alternatives other than artificial humans to control population, because artificial humans does not bring any love and affection to the world, and they cannot develop bonds and relations like real human beings.
