How employee satisfaction leads to success

Category: Organizational Behavior Paper Type: Report Writing Reference: N/A Words: 520

In the competitive world today, almost every organization wants to lead the market. It is all about making revenues and generating profits. For this purpose, different strategies are implemented and professionals are hired.

What if there was a shortcut to achieving this success?

You might have already heard from others that when it comes to business, there are no shortcuts. It is pure hard work and struggle that lead your organization to the top. You start today and it is months after that you begin to see some type of improvement. It is true but it also has been analyzed that successful organizations have one thing in common.

They particularly focus on maintaining the satisfaction of their workers.

Role of employees

Companies generally believe that their workers are assets for them to use. However, they are also humans and besides working, they have other requirements as well. They have countless expectations regarding the company for which they are working very hard. If these requirements are not fulfilled for a long time, they start to lose their motivation. Every company stands on the strong foundation which is made by its workers.

Employees are continuously working like gears in a ship which keep it moving and sailing. When these gears stop, the ship stops advancing forwards. The same thing can be said about an organization as well. A business can do nothing without depending on their workers.

When employees are satisfied, they know that whatever they have been going through for the past months, it has become fruitful. They realize that the company also thinks about them and not just as assets but as humans.

For instance, a goal has been set by the manager and the deadline has also been estimated. Now, it is up to the workers to put all their efforts and reach that goal. If workers are not satisfied with the work, they will not be able to focus on what they are doing for even a second. Even if they are working, their pace will be slower than the usual and the manager will have to force them to work.

On the other hand, when workers are satisfied and happy, they know that reaching the organizational goal will prove to be beneficial for them as well. Therefore, even if when they are relaxed, they are doing their best to achieve the objective. Due to this thinking and approach, they are able to meet the requirements even before the deadline. When the company is achieving results so fast constantly, it will be able to advance ahead of its competitors.

How employee satisfaction can be obtained?

Actually, it is up to the manager of the organization to understand the expectations and the requirements of employees before planning anything. However, there are some basic tactics that also help in achieving employee satisfaction. You should try to frequently ask workers if everything is wrong, occasionally set a party to rejoice when a project is successfully completed, and involve workers in active discussions and process of decision making.
