In this article, the
author describes both positives and negatives of playing the video games. It is
a fact that everything may have its positives and negatives, but it depends
that how someone goes to deal with that thing or activity. The author describes
in brief that what we think about video games that its addiction is associated
with young boys, but stats have shown in 2016 that the gamers’ average age is
35 years. The present work deals with the impact analysis of playing games on
the behavior. The games improve the growth and learning process as it turns to
be addiction for the gamers. The author goes on to explain that as per WHO
stats, in United States, more than 150m people play video games, but addiction
of gaming is associated with only 3 or 4 percent people. The author further
explains that video games can have positive effects on brain as people used to
improve their attention. The brain’s efficiency as well as size, both gets
improved with the help of gaming. However, few dangers of gaming are also
there, which needs to be kept in mind. The physical health as well as social
skills of a person may be affected by too much gaming. The video games may put
someone in a state of isolation, but if someone wants to enjoy a happy life,
then social ties are important to be formed. The author also mentioned that people
are addicted to gaming or not, it can be analyzed by looking at few relevant
signs. The author concludes with various such signs like people running away
from their social interactions to play games, thinking about games every time,
playing games to fight with depression & anxiety, and lying others so that
one can play games. In a nutshell, games improves the mental growth, spatial
relationship of players with the objects, and ability to complete the hippocampal
