It is with great interest that I am applying for the National
Resident Matching Program at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital that will occur
in March. Having experience and postgraduate training in psychiatry, I am very
hopeful that I will be perfectly suitable candidate for Pediatrics residency at
Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. My goal of attending this program is to get
primary care education with exposure to several kinds of cases concerning with
clinical care and community support in overcoming mental health issues.
With my doctorate in Psychology, I will be able to offer
individual counselling to children to help them cope with the stressors of
their illness, or I might teach parents behavioural training methods to help
them better handle their child’s behaviour and work towards developing a better
relationship with their child. Please emphasise how it is important to understand
kids and manage their behaviour accordingly.
I have worked with some local organisations to learn
practical knowledge also before the completion of my doctorate in psychology.
Because of my previous personal experience and in-depth understanding about
psychology and paediatrician I am capable of working independently with minimal
supervision. My interest in teamwork encourage me to participate in this
residency program and conduct detailed research on child abuses and other
mental health issues in collaboration with specialist staff from hospitals and
universities. In child abuse division I am sure I will find an opportunity to
attend weekly clinic sessions to investigate the behaviour of children who are
victimized of sexual and physical abuses.
I am attaching the required information and documents (ERAS
application, CV, Transcript, USMLE Step 1 score, Three letters of
recommendation, and Personal statement). Please feel free to contact me via
e-mail or call me directly (email and contact number are mentioned in CV) if
there are any additional questions. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely
