             Amazon is the new owner of the whole Foods e-commerce retailing company. Acquisition and consolidation of both companies have the great impact on the overall e-retailing business in the United States. With the acquisition Amazon has earned the benefit as their potential customers' equity is increased and as a result, their sales are increasing rapidly. While the acquisition is also favorable for the Whole Foods e-retailing company as because of the Amazon many people have started purchasing products from the Whole Food also.  

              Foot Traffic of the Whole Foods is increasing by the percentage of 3 annually after the acquisition of the company with Amazon largest retailing company (Haddon, 2018). Both companies have also started offering the discount for the premium members that support them to enhance market shares by selling more in the market.

What strategies are supermarket chains like Kroger implementing in response to Amazon's purchase of Whole Foods?

            Amazon is the largest retailing chain that consolidated the Whole Foods retailing company. Because of the consolidation decision of both companies retailing market got effects. As a result of this Kroger and other companies have decided on new strategies (Haddon, 2018). For instance, Kroger has decided to expand their target market. Kroger will operate outside the United States to attract new consumers for their products.

Operating in the other market than the United States can help out the company to earn better in the market as Amazon and Whole Foods are covering most of the market shares of the company. But by changing the market there are more chances for success, therefore, they are going to change the market or using market penetration approach. They are also paying focus on maintaining shoppers and loyalty programs for their customers.

Wendy decided to ripen tomatoes grow in the greenhouse to provide high quality ripen tomatoes to the customers (Jargon, 2018). As farmers mostly sell out tomatoes before getting ripened in green color to deliver safely in the market through trucks. Such tomatoes can be translucent, bad taste and filled with insects and germs. Popularity and success of the frozen food are because of the busy routines of the people. Research support for frozen foods as the healthiest food is also a contributing factor in the promotion and success.

Thus the two trends are mentioned below:

·                     Frozen Food business will be a profit generating business in the market that will replace the fresh meat, vegetables, and fruits sales. Therefore career in this field is very bright.

·                     E-retailing business will replace supermarkets and shops. Therefore IT professionals have bright career opportunities.
