Introduction of Think and grow rich

Category: Education Paper Type: Report Writing Reference: MLA Words: 550

The book under consideration is "Think and Grow Rich" written by Napoleon Hill. The book contains a number of lessons for the readers and inspires the reader in many ways. The lessons illustrated in the book challenges the perception of the reader and empower the mindset to grow and create wealth. Think and grow rich can be tagged as a classic book that analyzes the secrets of success and explains the success secrets of well-known personalities including Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, Andrew Carnegie, King Gillette, and Alexander Graham Bell. So instead of rambling about the reasons to read the booklet I share the lessons I learned from the book (Hill).

Lesson learned by “Think and grow rich”

1.      All one needs is a sound idea to get success

The book explains the ways to achieve success in life and after reading the book I found that success depends on a brilliant idea and how the idea is accomplished by real efforts. The lesson is valuable for people bouncing from business opportunity to any other rich quick scheme. According to the author, ideas and opportunities are primarily important for instance Larry and bill gates focused on software, Oprah Winfrey focused on entertainment and Carlos Slim Helu focused on telecommunication (Hill, 2010).

2.      Becoming rich initiates, the mindset

I strongly believe in the view of Napoleon Hill about the mindset and how definiteness of purpose is required for success. Napoleon Hill emphasized on the success and failure that are different from each other and requires refocusing of the mindset over the goals. In order to reach the goal, the workers should delete the word of impossible from their minds.

3.      One is master of his own fate

After reading the book, I agreed with the theme presented by Napoleon Hill about life. The book forces on the controlled supernatural forces of personality. The other factor includes the destiny and fate of the workers to improve the perception of life (Hill, 2010).

4.      The initial point for achievement is a desire

According to Napoleon Hill, the starting point to achieve the goals is to desire. All the rich people have a strong desire to work and they laid down on the principles of the founder. The path to achieving the goals is strongly dependent on the sacrifices and desires for the achievement also (Hill, 2010).

5.      Knowledge is not all the power

The lesson I have learned from the book is to expect potential information and wise applications of knowledge. The extreme knowledge is not everything to reach success. The potential power of organizing the intelligent process is especially required to reach success (Hill, 2010).

Summary

The book “think and grow rich”, written by Napoleon Hill provides extensive information about the ways to reach the goals and objectives. According to the author, learning is important, and success depends on the initial step. The knowledge is not key to everything but works as additional power to reach the goals but in real fact, the important things for success are self-esteem and self-control.
