What is an issue and why it is an issue?

Ans. The most common reason behind the homeless population is that they become alcoholics and drug abductors. A huge percentage of such homeless people have problem of substance abuse but the habitual issue is a separate thing and required proper treatment and support to handle this problem. According to the mental health service administration and substance abuse almost 26% homeless people use other type of drugs and 38% people who live homeless use alcohol to fulfill their need. In older generation alcohol drug is very common but in young or youth adults other type of drugs also become popular. National household survey on drug use and health in 2006 determine that more than age of 12 almost 8% using the drugs in last month and 15% people start using the drug from last year. This become a major problem because drugs destroy the mental condition and health of people and homeless people are main targets because they are alone, having no family, go into depression, having no source of income and loneliness, these are become the causes of their drug usage and to overcome their mental disorder that continuously start using drug in long time period.
