If
we see a naught kid outside, the first thing that across our mind would be,
“What have the parents taught them?” The same thing also happen if we see a
smart kid, then we will wonder how the parents teach the kid to be smart. But
how many of us will think the opposite idea? Do we ever think what lessons that
the kids have taught to the parents? Well we might difficult to get the answer
for this question since kids will likely introvert and not brave to speak up
about what they want to their parents. A research has studied about the
feelings of kids for the parents along with their unspoken words. Now let’s
detail what the kids said and make as the lessons to learn for the parents.
“They
should not always be on the younger’s side, be fair.”
Most
of time, parents always be on the younger’s side for each conflicts. The reason
might be that the parents think that the older one is enough mature to
understand and have to give up for their younger siblings. Well, this is
definitely one thing that the parents should change. Be fair in make decisions
to solve the conflict between your kids, give them the responsibility which
equal with their ability.
“With
make us standing on the wall as the punishment will only make us to think on
how to get revenge!”
Well,
it is true. Giving the wrong punishment on your kids will not teach them
anything, instead, it will make them figure out on how to get revenge. Make the
suitable punishment based on their mistake and also their capability level to
understand the purpose of the punishment.
“Do
not remind everything in every minutes.”
The
common words like, “Do not forget to brush your teeth, do not forget to wash
your face,” will make your kids get bore and worst, they will think to ignore
it.
“Spend
times with us.”
This came as the choir which expressed
by the entire kids in their own words. Parents, this is the wish from your
kids. Take a look back on what you have done and remember the hours that you
spent for your own works or activities rather than with your kids. If you love
your kids, switched off your cell phone, TV, laptop, or computer. Give them the
portion time that they deserved from you.
To
be a parent indeed, is not as simple as we think it is. It needs patience,
responsibility, and eager to learn to be a better one. But the most important
thing from those is that, how you make your time. One quote I have read for
this, “No one is really busy in this world. It is more about you want to make
time or not.” Parents, listen to your kids, make them happy as I know that is what
all parents want, to see their kids happy.
