As we know that culture difference is found everywhere. This is the basic life skill for all of us to understand these differences. Here I share the cultural difference which is experienced in the western. As I am an Asian student when I am going to abroad for the further study. I found some cultural difference in western society. The most important difference among the western culture as well as eastern culture is that eastern people are more traditional and conservative as compared to the western. In the eastern countries arranged marriages are common. Eastern parents or elder believe in that concept after marriage love comes.

As this culture is not found in western. They do what they like. They are not conservative in any matter we can say that they are more open as well as blunt. Such as in western culture sex and child birth like topic are discussed openly but in eastern you can’t talk openly on these topic. The western people easily express their feeling whether its love or anger. But in eastern the people cover these tact in a good manner. On educational perspective the western people focus on creative ideas. While eastern people believe in hard work as well as struggle, if you practice hard nothing is difficult.

 1.      How does the iceberg model of culture help you understand the cultural difference you experienced in question number 1? (10 points) (Write at least 5 sentences.)

         The iceberg model of culture help me in understanding the cultural experience that observed in the western and eastern culture. This model is very effective. When we look into the iceberg model the portion which is visible is reality that we see with our eyes. Iceberg describe the diversity in cultural in a very good manner. According to the above question we just look the western culture as that they are happy eating good food as well as their dress or culture. These are those thing which we observed in the western culture. The core values of a culture don’t change easily it is a significant.

As in eastern the thing which seen are that part of iceberg that is visible part of the iceberg. Consequently, these are the thing that depicted quickly just like an iceberg. By analyzing values, institutions, studying, as well as on our core values reflecting in many cases there are many ideas that can only understand. Let’s take an examples of western and eastern culture in iceberg. Visual art, music, food, dress, literature, language as well as celebrations these are the things which we observed. The thing which is not observed are those values that we can’t show without analyzing their culture. We can say that iceberg is a effective technique or model.

In the future iceberg model used in the learning of cultural diversity. Moreover, the reality, these are the deeper external manifestation as well a culture of broader component that also known as values and attitudes. As we talk about the future learning this model help me at that point when we live there life and analyze everything related to their core values.  And it’s very difficult to change the core value of some country. For this, that is passed from generation to generation through several institutions that completely surrounds us. Powerful forces are influence by the institutional that guide as well as teach us. May be in future these methodology changed or may be the system changed in the next year.
