The cost
for consumers to switch between Apple and another company can be quite
significant. However, the problem here is not concerned with price. There are
some products of Apple that are extra-costly but most of them can be afforded.
The real
cost seems to come from going out of the ecosystem of Apple. It is important to
note that Apple media and software works only with the devices of Apple. It
means that switching between companies will restrict the access of a user to
not only media but also Apple applications. In this sense, the bargaining power
of customers is low. It would cost a lost for users to change providers that
may wouldn’t prefer it unless the issue concerns quality.
