Before looking at the pertinent solutions
along with specific technologies to see that how the issue of information chaos
can be dealt, it is important to look at some of reasons, which play their part
in information disruption. The article has talked about three disruptors, which
are playing their part in transforming the business world, and making things
more difficult and competitive for the organizations. The first major disruptor
is Consumerization, which means that consumers are transforming their expectations
from the applications. The second major disruptor is Mobile & Cloud, which
means that information can be accessed anytime without the restriction of geographical
locations, and it can be accessed anywhere in the world. The disruptor deals
with the internal factors of a business organization, which is changing work
nature in so many ways. It means that organizations are being forced to become
more flat as well as agile in their approach rather being slow as well as
hierarchical ( Mancini)
It
is a well-known fact that business firms are increasing their intake of
information technology because technology is getting indispensable in so many
ways. If one organization is using the essence of technology in its business
process, and other organization is not using any considerable technology at
all, then what would be the comparison between the two? It is most likely that
organization using technology would be ahead in the competition as compared to
the organization, which is not using any considerable technology. The
technologies are enhancing the level of knowledge as well as work, because
these technologies are equipped with innovation and creativity. For instance, organizations
are using various kind of software, which helps them to streamline their
business processes, which were complex to manage manually. One good example
could be any financial software to manage and record financial data. It was a difficult
process for every organization to handle, but now there are ranges of financial
software, which can be sued to record, measure and store financial data, and
keep its record with not any mess. In the same way, new hardware technological
equipment is also increasing its presence in organizations to make processes
more agile, convenient and effective. These technologies are not only saving
costs, but also saving time as well ( Mancini)
The
fact of the matter is that there are various technologies available, which now
can be used to streamline data and information so that only concerned and valuable
information is kept by organization. Let’s us look at few technologies one by
one to see that how each one can play its part in dealing with the information
chaos and disruptions. One of such technology is cloud computing. It is evident
that now cloud platforms are providing opportunity for organizations to store
their data on cloud, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere in the world. So,
if there is a large organization, which has its presence in multiple locations
or across the borders, then they can use cloud platforms to streamline their
data to mitigate and information disruptions. For instance, if they want their
all locations to be on the same page in terms of handling information and
deriving a collective strategy, then they can store important information in
cloud platform so that all locations have access to that information, and they
can use it, when it is needed by them to make any future predictions and decisions

The
other major technology to consider for dealing with the issues discussed in the
article is social platforms with the help of internet. For instance, social
media platforms are huge technological opportunity for an organization to gain
relevant information and data, and then streamline it to satisfy the needs of
their customers. It is important to understand this fact through an example. For
instance, if an organization does not have enough internal information due to
lack of use of technology, which could have stores information for them, and
they could use that particular information about customers to make future decisions
for more business opportunities. Now they are wondering to see that what new
product features or even product lines their potential customers would like to
see. They can get this valuable information with the help of internet and
social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. They can engage customers
in different engagement activities and ask them to answer survey questions to
get their feedback. When customers will respond through these social media
platforms, the company will collect and analyze the information, and they will
be able to explore future opportunities by looking at the opinions shared by
