This
research study is a detailed discussion about the Universal Design of ICT in
Earthquake Emergency Management in Pakistan. In a situational disability, in
which people also be considered as disabled for the specific situation, for
example, during an earthquake, people cannot read safety precautions easily due
to the shaking of the earth and several other factors, e.g. dust in the eyes.
In Pakistan, people are not aware of how to deal with emergency situations such
as earthquake due to the lack of awareness. That results in the loss of lives
that could be saved. In this research, a system for earthquake emergency
management proposed by university researchers will be designed to save the
lives of people including the disabled one. Universal design has seven
principles; one of those principles divides the tasks for agencies and removes
the possible conflicts that can occur; for example, four different agencies all
start to provide emergency shelter for the persons who become the victim of a
disaster. The digital divide can be measured by measuring the gap among the
cities or countries that can and cannot use new technological tools, like WIFI,
3G or 4G. The research design is an essential part of the research, and the
overall findings and the results of the study are based on the research design.
The authentic online resources are used to collect secondary data for this
research study. In this research study, the simple random sampling method is
used to collect the data from the respondents.
In this research study for the analysis and collection of the data
collected from the respondents, the SPSS software was used. The results and the
findings that are got from this research study are reliable because the data is
collected from the authentic sites. In this research study, none of the rules
and ethical principle are violated. For surveying the companies from the
professionals, the permission is granted from the authorities through emails
and email addresses are tracked from the companies websites.
