Dear Public health Officer,
I am writing to alert you to a healthy and safety
hazard in Sammy's Place hostel. I am really concern about the poor conditions
in this hostel such as thin bunks, damaged mattresses, and also there is no
shade on the light bulb which sparkled irregularly. The condition of this hostel is getting worse
with dead flies on the window frame and poor cleaning of the sink. Even though
the hostel is supported with the inexpensive internet access, but the
mismanagement of hostel can be seen from how the staff there neglected the
guests with no person to attend on the receptionist counter.
Based on those poor conditions, I request to the
Public health Officer to take action on this hostel, in fact, this kind of
hostel should be closed since it gives potential risks for the health of the
guests who are staying there.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wilkie
Evaluate applied
writing styles for purpose and/or audience.
The writing styles
for formal contents (formal email and formal letter) and article contents (the
two articles) are definitely different since the formal contents meant to
propose and convince the audience to agree with the objective of the writer. In
the other hand, the article contents more like describing some facts, opinions,
and arguments. Even though the two articles above are also trying to convince
the people about the writer's objective, but they also provide different facts
and arguments for the audience to justify (Manser, 2014)
