The module is related to an individual as organizational behaviour.
The PIA I have selected is personality Traits. The reason is that in any
organization there are some leaders and some followers that are working with
proper collaboration. There is huge impact of individual that is working in the
organization. The next reason is that the personality of the person plays a
vital role in the progress of the organization. This is because if the
individual is perfect then it will help to lead another worker with perfection.
On the other hand, if all workers are perfect then they will gain more profit
for the organization.
Evaluation:
Identify the purpose of the activity and determine how or why the activity met
or did not meet its objectives.
The main purpose of this activity to make the organization stronger
than before. There are about five main traits of this activity that include
Extrovert, open, consociation, Neurotic, and agreeable. The best part is that
the individual that is working in the organization as a leader must have the
ability to take risk at important time of the company. If the individual of the
company has the ability to take risk then it will become extremely easy for the
company to apply new changes. There will also be a huge chance to make progress
with perfection and also apply innovation.
Emotional
state Describe how you felt while doing the activity and why did you feel that
way.
I was extremely motivated while doing this activity. The reason is
that this activity will help me to work in any kind of organization with
perfection. Through completing this activity, I have learned many new things
that will help me in the future in improving my confidence. The next thing is
that through this activity I have come to know that there are a lot of theories
that are related to that individual. From these theories I have selected one
activity for my PIA is personality trait. This activity also teaches me how to
overcome problems in the organization.
Analysis:
Use OB theories to explain the PIA results and your individual behaviours.
The theory from organizational behaviour of the individual is the
Theory X and Theory Y. it can be seen that both of these theories play an
important role in guiding the individual behaviour in any organization. The
theory X deals with bad behaviour of individuals that are working in the
organization. According to that theory, the employees are extremely demotivated
and also dislike to do any kind of work. Their working strategy is not perfect.
On the other hand, theory Y deals with the employees that always work for the
betterment of the organization. That’s the reason why this theory is perfect in
judging individual behaviour.
Conclusions
and recommendation: Draw conclusions about yourself as an individual and
describe what actions you are going to take to improve/change yourself so that
you can be a better employee, group member and/or manager.
Summing up all the discussion form above it is concluded that the
individual behaviour in the organization plays a very important role. In this
reflection the individual behaviour has been discussed in detail according to
the organization behaviour. The theory of personality traits is extremely
important because this is the main key for the manager and workers of the
organization. On the other hand, the next theory is theory X and Y. If the
organization wanted to analyse their workers then they are able to apply these
theories. I will recommend that if the organization wanted to gain progress so
their leaders must have to motivate and move towards innovations.
