Study
orientation (quantitative or qualitative)
The above
article is about the professional view about the healthcare of the patient centers
in the hospital. In this article, the study orientation is both quantitative as
well as qualitative techniques (Berghout,
Exel, Leensvaart, & Cramm, 2015). The quantitative
data are supplemented by the qualitative data, which is obtained from the participants
that also the explanation of the rank in the interviews.
The
initial stage of the interpretations is drafted which is based on the quantitative
data form the ranking statements of composites. By using the consensus as well as distinguishes
the different statements based on the qualitative data, which is obtained from
the explanation of the respondents and connected by every factor. The
investigation of eth patient center care is determined by the separate context
by using both quantitative as well as qualitative data.
Sample technique
In this research study, a stratified
sampling technique is used. Samples are selected in groups. There are a total
of 3 groups and each group contains different samples size. For instance in surgical
intensive care unit total of 15 samples, in geriatric department 16, and
quality employees total of 3 samples are selected for the research study. Stratified
sampling is a probability sampling technique that reduces the error of personal
or convenience biases. According to the research information collected from
research methodology, literature characteristics of the samples selected in
this research study are appropriate according to the research topic. Getting
responses from the healthcare professionals can help out the researcher to
reach on the authentic information and conclusions.
Sample
characteristics
In the
research, article researchers have presented sample characteristics in the
table. According to the information presented in this table researcher selected
samples on the basis of demographic and other characteristics such as sex, age,
profession, and duration of work (Berghout, Exel, Leensvaart, &
Cramm, 2015).
However, the selected location for this research study is Mount Sinai Hospital
in the Upper East Side and East Harlem.
Research design
strategy/ problems/limitations;
The research design is basically an experimental research
design strategy based as it includes the collection of data through experiment
and analysis of responses to reach the conclusion. This research study has some
limitations that can affect the validity and reliability of the research
findings. Somehow, most of these limitations are not directly concerned with
the research design strategy as these are concerned with data analysis and
sampling techniques.
Development and/or assessment technique
PCC
monitoring scale was developed as an instrument in this research study. The
researcher used 8 PCC dimensions to measure the responses. The research
instrument is taken from the previous research studies that reduce chances of
validity and reliability as in previous research studies validity was verified.
Data
analysis and interpretation
In
this research PQMethod, 2.11 software is used for statistical analysis of the
collected data. Variance and factor analysis are used as data analysis
techniques. While researcher interpreted the data on the basis of research
findings and statistical results.
