Audio or Visual recordings of Observational Research

        It basically includes the recoding of data when the data is being analyzed. This type of technique is utilized in combination with hand written recordings.

        Researcher must have knowledge of how and when the data should be recorded. In case of event sampling, the researcher finds out which behaviors are area of interest and require the effort of recording, the behavior of interest is recorded and all the other behaviors are ignored. For the time sampling, the observations are done for pre-determined periods of time such as one hour a day etc. In case of instantaneous sampling, the time is decided in advance for example when the observation will be made and data is collected. The types to record data and sampling methods are useful for the study production (Sapsford & Jupp, 2006).
