There
four meaning of strategic human resource management defined by the Pettigrew
and Henry in 1986. First one includes the human resource management planning,
secondly all the integrated approaches which are required for designing the
implementation of the system of HR, thirdly refers as activities and policies
of Hr. which is matched with strategy of the business with in organization.
Forth one includes as for achieving the competitive advantage to view the
strategic resources of the people. Implementation of the Hr. strategy is
requiring after determining the business strategy for supporting the chosen
competitive strategy. For the fictional level strategy it goes to the downward
from its business, that’s why strategies of Hr. is considered as challenge for
match the five Ps, policies, practices, philosophies, programs and processes (Kramar, 2014). There are two major
approaches for HRM which has by two major opposing theoretical foundations
which are differentiated as; universalistic and contingency approach.
