It
is very kind of a basic but too much costly strategy used by the Opric, Oman.
Firstly, by 8using this strategy organization conduct proper training of its
suppliers by briefing them about the vision, mission and quality goals of the
organization. For this organization, suppliers are not the only factors that
provide services but they are considered the most important parts of the supply
chain. At this stage, all the suppliers are given with proper briefing and
training for keeping all procedures in accordance with quality. Secondly, they
are given with the training and briefing of the key performance indicators that
they are required to achieve while working with this organization.
In
the context of this strategy, this organization trace and track all the
mistakes that supplier so while working with this organization. For the sake of
training and making the wrong aspects right, this organization uses this way.
This strategy has helped this organization a lot to eradicate the factors that
were causing a lack of quality in the past. In the era of globalization, this
organization has hundreds of suppliers all around the world, it is a bit
difficult and costly for the organization to implement this strategy. But for
the continuous improvement and proper management of the quality in its
procedures, the organization is required to continuously use this strategy with
all of its suppliers all around the world. Conclusively as compared to the
other strategies this strategy has helped this organization a lot to manage the
quality in real terms in the procedures of its supplier all around the
world.
Critical review of Opric, Oman
Opric,
Oman has reached the level of top organizations in the world. It has a number
of suppliers all around the world. All the strategies which it is using to
remain in the market and competitive edge are fully effective. Firstly, the
strategic fit is very much important for the organization like Opric Oman.
Without strategic Fit, there can be a number deputed take place between the
procedures of the organization and its supply chain. Strategic fit is a perfect
strategy but Opric Oman should use other alignment strategies of business that
can make its whole supply chain to settle in a cue where the vision is single.
The second strategy is integrated architectural technology. Now, this era is
full of technology and none organization can survive without using technology
in its procedures (Badorf, 2018). This organization
has taken this initiative in this industry of using integrated technology. This
is a very effective strategy because all of the risks and market situation can
be measured in some hours. After the analysis of risks and market conditions,
the supplier can be regulated easily. In the same context, all the decisions
and strategies have become automatic due to its implementation which eradicates
a number of mistake factors in the whole supply chain. Training and tracing of
the suppliers in the supply chain is a good strategy but should be used in the
initial terms. This organization is spending a huge amount of money and
investments in this factor. Suppliers are required to be trained at initial
stages and then regulated. There a number of suppliers that can help this
organization to develop its products so instead of spending a huge amount of
money on the training of its suppliers, an organization can ale contracts with
better suppliers in the market. To summarize the discussion, it is completely
right that this organization has maintained the quality in all the procedures
related to its supply chain. On the contrary, this organization has spent a
huge amount of money on the training and keeping its supply chain in the proper
alignment.
