Technology is changing continuously due to globalization that not only changes the lifestyle of people but also changes the business pattern. In this regard, the introduction of new innovations, strategies, and technologies that are more efficient and effective in terms of performance and productivity of a firm. However, change in technology is a continuous phenomenon in which different software, strategies, and innovations are applied within the firm. Information technology is also changing as adopting an effective decision-making process that is beneficial for the development and growth of a firm (Gürdür & Didem, 2016).

        However, the use of a decision-making process tool in a firm because managers easily identify, monitor and access the activities of all staff. So that all activities which may cause harm can be controlled by tracking due to tools used in the decision-making process. Different types of tools are used in the decision-making process that connected all the departmental activities to ensure that all performance of employees properly completed. Decision-making tools like the dashboard, the balanced scorecard is used in an information technology system of a firm to enhance the productivity of the firm respectively.

        In this report, other tools also discussed which are used in the decision-making processes such as SWOT analysis and Broadcom. The role of managers is important in a firm as monitor all the activities of staff, requirements of changes also identified and adopted a proactive approach to avoid any kind of loss. SWOT analysis is applied to analyze the strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. By adopting this tool in the decision-making process, the managers are able to identify the strength and focus to maintain the strength of the firm, analyzing weaknesses that reduce the efficiency of a firm and then considered this weakness to convert them into strength. In this regard, the weakness also turned into opportunities. Therefore, the managers of firms also consider threats before taking any kind of decision. Moreover, it is an efficient tool that covers all the aspects of a firm before the decision-making process (Mourtzis & Fotia, 2018).  

        Another tool which is effective in the decision-making process and also improves the security of data of a firm. Broadcom is a small chip used in computers and monitors the unethical activities of employees as stealing confidential information. Because it is important for the manager of a firm to secure all confidential information. It is also known as cybersecurity that protect the information and data of a firm which is important. The use of Broadcom detects about the stealing of information, a document which employee wants to leak out. Moreover, it also detects the deleted documents or folder which is evidence against the employee. It is an important tool in the decision-making process as analyzing the unethical issues and keep monitoring the action of employees which lead towards the better performance of a firm (Rosemann & Brocke., 2015).
