Ethical
leadership is that kind of leadership that is acceptable and appropriate in
every part of organization related to conduct of common goal. Leader has to be
an example as other has to follow him so he has to set examples for them. He
has to follow all the standards related to ethical issues and explore the
importance of ethics. Ethical leader has to be good communicator so he can
easily deliver its message and thoughts to others and through its practice show
their ethical behavior. Ethical leadership need a strong framework that is
provided to other to perform in his path and also show the same results as he
is showing in the organization. The following elements are related to framework
of ethical leadership are: Vigor which means that framework must be updated
according to need and demand of the organization and also re examined at
regular basis. It must be proactive which means that framework explains what we
have to do as act preemptively and looks forward. Proper uniformity must be
found in the internal elements of the organization so they work in a sequence
and then give accurate results. (villanovau.com, n.d.)
There are different models that are going to
used for ethical; leader but the best one is 4 V Model.
This
model is work as helping tool that align the external behavior and actions for
the goal with the internal beliefs and values. 4 V means virtue, voice, vision
and values. There features are going to make a strong leader. Ethical leader
have to understand its basic values and implement them in organization in most
effective manner. This model combines the internal factors with external
factors and help in obtaining its goals. The model is going to start with the
core values of the leader so it must be explore for other and other must adopt
these values to obtain the required results. Leader has to determine its basic
values and then adopt these values in depth in his practice. Then we move to
the vision of the leader that the vision is related to the vision of the
organization so other employees has to follow his vision and work in successful
way for the organization. To formulate the vision of others and through its
voice make then clear for better motivation and also explore the main target
related to organization. For all these factors the leader must be behave virtue
which means that he always behave in right manner and direction and act
positively. There are also some points must be added in this model. First of
all the innovation so leader has to explain that actions must be performed for
vision and values. The politics that means that art of politics must be manage
in the organization to deal with public group. And then all the services that
are going to belong with the vision of the values. These all elements are
interconnected wit each other and very important for the ethical leadership. (toolshero.com, 2019)
