        Oman botanic garden one of most Directorates at Diwan of Royal Court which established in 2006. Oman Botanic Garden is located in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman (According to the structural division that illustrates).

            The Garden, currently under development, is an exciting, dynamic and ground breaking project. The Garden will combine the cultivation, study and conservation of Oman’s rich native flora with creative large scale native habitat displays and amenity planting under the over-arching themes of plant conservation, environmental education and horticultural excellence. Oman Botanic Garden will be a regional and international leader in conservation and will lead the way in innovation and learning. The Garden will bring the plants and habitats and plant-related traditions of Oman to life through displays, exhibitions, events and activities to engage a wide range of visitors. The Garden comprises extensive visitor and staff service facilities and will eventually include:14000 m2 of climate-controlled displays, housed within biomes70000 m2 of outdoor naturalistic habitats and amenity planting areas Exhibitions and interpretive installations (interior and exterior)Shops, restaurants, and cafes A series of exhibits displaying crafts and heritage Family zones, playgrounds and passive recreational areas. Research facilities including laboratories, library, herbarium, auditorium, staff canteen and seminar rooms A 30000 m2 nursery with associated buildings and offices Education facilities with classrooms, accommodation for up to 60 people, canteen and study rooms. Office facilities and work places for c. 350 staff Sustainability elements such as photovoltaic farm and constructed wetlands Extensive amenity planting, car parks, and other visitor facilities. The Oman Botanic Garden is a development of the Diwan of Royal Court in Oman, growing unique plants, landscapes and covering cultural traditions of Oman. The garden is currently under construction. When it opens it will showcase all of the native plant species of Oman in a series of created, naturalistic habitats from the dry deserts to the rich monsoon cloud forests. The garden will also showcase the traditionally cultivated crops and the many ways that people use plants in Oman. With this concept, the Oman Botanic Garden is the first of its kind – no other botanic garden is representing the entire flora of one country in habitat settings. It will present an opportunity for visitors to experience the flora and vegetation of Oman while learning about the agricultural heritage, rich cultural traditions and legendary hospitality of the country. The design concept is based on four basic principles: The native flora is represented in naturalistic habitats. The garden reflects and honors Oman’s rich botanical heritage. The garden demonstrates a sustainable approach. The displays are interactive and apply a modern and exciting way of education and interpretation Situated in Al Khoud, about 20 kilometers from the capital Muscat, the Oman Botanic Garden is being developed on 423 hectares. The garden will be the largest botanic garden in the Arabian Peninsula and one of the largest in the world. The garden will consist of the following key components: nursery, visitor Centre, research Centre, field study Centre, outdoor habitat gardens, northern mountain biome, southern mountain biome, and nature reserve area. The Oman Botanic Garden project is built upon a foundation of environmental sensitivity and sustainability. All aspects of the project must support this approach. The project is being built within the limits of a large nature reserve, and as such a “tread lightly” approach must be followed, both in concept and in construction. As a part of its main objective, Oman Botanic Garden is helping to create a more sustainable world, throughout its design, construction and operation. The project is applying for certification for some of the buildings through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), operated by the US Green Building Council.
