Through
the literature review it can be said that the time flexibility have major
impact on the work efficiency & quality. In the above literature review the
studies of various researchers are reviewed who have shed light on the work
flexibility and its impact on the organization. The researchers have stated
that if the employees are given flexible working hours than the performance of
the employees increases and they perform the work more accurately. If the employees
are not given flexible working hours than it is not possible for them to
perform the work with quality and high performance. Sometimes due to
inflexibility of time the turnover in the corporations increases.
The
employees work efficiently when they know that the organizations recognize
their work and care for them. If the organizations are not going to provide
flexible hours than the level of motivation of the employees will decline up to
lot of extent which would definitely effect the effecicy of the organization.
The work efficiency is linked with the satisfaction & motivation of
employees which can be enhanced through providing time flexibility to the
workers. The studies have shown many benefits of the flexible timing and how
organizations can increase their performance through working hours adjustments.
The
Human resource department in the organizations can realize the benefits of the
flexible working hours and can implement for the betterment of the corporation.
The time flexibility has become the necessity of the modern day world. Today
many women are also working in the organizations. The preferences and
responsibilities of the women are not as same as men therefore women needs
flexible working hours so that not they can give time to the family but also
can manage their work in the office efficiently. Women have the responsibility
to take care of their family and homes as well so they are the one who need
flexible working hours more often than men.
In
the organizations the motivation of employees matter a lot because if the
employees are not going to be motivated than the performance and efficiency of
the organization will decline. The employees will not perform good if they are
not satisfied with the organization. Through providing flexible working hours the
organization can improve the motivation level of the employees moreover the
employee retention level can also be increased. the studies have shown that the
employee retention level increases when the employees unable to provide their
services according to the policies of the company. Ultimately the employee
leave the organization when they don’t get flexible timings.
The
major benefit of flexible working hours is that the employees stress level
decreases. The employees know that they can work in the organization whenever
they want to work. When the employees get control of time then they can manage
the work activities more efficiently without any major issue. When the
employees’ does not get any flexible timings and have to perform work according
to tough schedules than not only the quality of the work suffers but also the
chances of loss for the organization increases. The studies have briefly
discussed the above scenario.
Through performing the literature
review it can be said that If Oman public sector wants to enhance the work
efficiency than it would have to consider about the flexible working hours or
time flexibility. In Oman when the employees are going to be given the
empowerment or autonomy to choose the working hours according to their
preferences than the level of motivation will increase. It can be said that the
organizations should address the concerns of their employees before
implementing the work time schedule. The corporations can provide work time
flexibility to the employees so that they can work according to their
convenience. If the organizations are not going to provide convenience then the
corporations might face decline in their efficiency.
The researcher have stated that the
work life flexibility provides the opportunity to the employees to control the
work they performed in the corporation. In this research study the researchers
have said that the on various job levels the level of work flexibility is not
the same which cause job inequality. It is highly important for the
organizations to provide equal opportunities on various level of jobs so that
the organization can take maximum benefit. The specific divisions are exclusively in charge of the coordination
and keeps up a decent connection amongst manager and workers.
That
is why, workers may end up fulfilling her or his working as well roles of
non-working. Lastly, effective achievement of work efficiency within an
organization depends on time flexibility at present. Authors summarize that the
utilization of practices associated with flexible time influence employee
satisfaction positively along with work-life balance. From the perspective of
an employer, time flexibility in the organization has brought some serious
benefits with it. First of all, it has an effect on work efficiency because
with time flexibility, workers don’t take a long time to be effective with
their work.
In
accordance with some other studies, flexible time results in higher
satisfaction of job, better commitment towards the organization, increase work
efficiency, and employee loyalty. In addition, retaining and attracting becomes
easier with flexible time in the organization. That is why, practices of
flexible time are beneficial for both employers and workers, and hence when
flexibility is embedded in the work, the efficiency of work increases
significantly..
