In
the organizational development or department of the big originations business
intelligence and knowledge management plays significant role. There are the
four major stages of the knowledge management that are referred as;
Distribution, acquisitions, storage and use of knowledge. By using the various
sources as the experts who are involved the tactic knowledge is captured at the
first stage of the knowledge management. The next stage of the knowledge management
is referred as the stored, classified and organized that can easily share or
utilized in the several subsequent stages. At this stage the knowledge can be
kept as record in database or documents and it becomes explicit. All of the resources
are distributed to those who are keening for these resources. Finally for the organizational development the
knowledge must be applied and it has to be used in its all criteria’s. This paper
explores the knowledge management in the context of the Oman refreshment
company.
The Oman refreshment company is located in AL-khwair. It is involved
in the production of the numerous products such as fresh water, juices, soft
drinks, food products and packaged products. ORC (Oman Refreshment Company) is
also engaged in the exports of its products to the various regions of the GCC
as Qatar and UAE. ORC distributing and exporting its products under the umbrella
of the different brands as; Top fruit, Pepsi, Quaker and Frito Lays. For the
ORC the process of the knowledge management system is any important factor and
this system contains on the capturing, organizing, sharing and gathering of the
knowledge (Dalkir, 2013).
This
paper explores how the knowledge is managed in the ORC. The information is
collected by using the various methods that’s are;
Interactions with the customers
Feedback from the customers
Observation of the various activities in
the ORC
Interaction with current suppliers and
buyers of the oRC
Interactions with the potential buyers and
suppliers of the ORC
Collecting survey from the customers
By using the various search engines as
Internet
The task of this assignment can be easily completed by
using the information that is collected through above discussed methods and
sources. The description f the company
is involved in this assignment as its initial part along with the knowledge management
system. There are several users who want to improve their tactic knowledge about
the products of the ORC by using the products of the ORC for the basic needs of
their lives. The various activities of the ORC that is usually required to
promoting the development of the company and the expertise of the staff are included
at the second step. At the third step the developed knowledge is stored,
classified and organized for the future use. It can be measured and applied for
improving and in the innovative department.
