In this report in the OCCI, several research determined
a heavy media multitaskers, which is susceptible for the distraction of the irrelevant
resulting the problem had focused on the important task. By numerous
distractions, the employees are bombarded throughout a workday, form the sites
of social media like Facebook. The distracted employees who could quickly be focused
on the significant task that is resulting in the loss of creativity along with
the loss of innovations.
Memory
impairment
The
multitasking of the employees in OCCI also impairs the memory. The constant
distraction which impacts on the multitaskers has the ability to recall the different
crucial steps which are involved in complicated projects. The information that
is overloaded creates the results of the impairments important along with the trivial
for the differentiation. From the valuable time, the steep leering curve could
take away, and for the OCCI process.
Increases
Stress Levels
The
multitaskers would experience the releases of the stress hormones along with
the adrenaline in the bodies. This results could often the vicious of the
constant cycles along with the multitasking which is requiring the complete
list of the longer task, also experiencing the high stress as well as the multitasking
is even more to compensate. This high-level stress is constant, which could cause
the employees to become sick, and miss of the days works along with to decrease
the productivity of overall work.
Avoiding
multitasking overload
The
HR professional of the OCCI, which could use the initiatives of wellness by the
help of the employee to tackle problems of the constant multitasking (Schottner & et al, 2007).
This problem has occurred because high skills employees are preferred over poor skills employees from top
management. Almost in OCCI, high skills employees are chosen to carry out the
tasks because they are generally more experienced and have related skills as
well. Meanwhile, the less skilled employees are
comparatively less experienced due to which they are not selected, and it causes
them to be at the same level without any improvement. This issue tends to decrease
the overall productivity of the organization. Productivity has two components,
whereas the objective of the management is to obtain a high level of productivity
at the minimum cost. By the one method which increases the amount of work that
is done through the employees by the set of the amount of time. By using the multitasking,
which is the effort to boost productivity. The simultaneous engagement for more
than two task is the multitasking that encourages the explanations if the task which
calls the different elements.
