the skills that are required by the individuals to be employable. Employable
skills are further sub-classified as interpersonal skills, technical skills,
and conceptual skills. Employability skills have great importance to make an
employee capable to get a better job opportunity. Employees having these
employability skills usually outperform in the organization and get better
adjust easily, therefore, most of the time employer companies prefer to recruit
candidates with better employability skills. In employability skills, the key
important skill is communication skill, critical thinking skills, problem
solving skills, attitude, planning and organizing, teamwork, and
professionalism (Messum, et al., 2011). In general,
employability skills refers to narrow usage of the contrast and concept with
attempts to reach a relatively broader defined concept of employability that
has also significant importance on the overall labor market policy. Basically,
the term employability skill refers to the key skills and reason that makes a
person really suitable for a specific job position (Chaita, 2016). Each job position
has some particular requirements related to skills, experience, and education.
For instance, technical skills and knowledge are essential for the workers
working on the front line or production line of a manufacturing plant. While on
the other hand, senior job positions require interpersonal skills,
communication skills, leadership skills, technical skills, problem solving
skills, and conflict handling skills. Thus, in short, employability skills
defer according to the job position but remains important for all kind of job
position. Employees having better employability skills usually have a greater
likelihood of being employed in a good position with attractive packages.
