The
four employability skills that need to be developed for the future are Numeracy
Skills, Decision Making Skills, Conflicting Handling Skills, and Auditing
Skills. Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO) job position will definitely
relate to the financial and accounting related information. As a CFO I would be
able to present financial planning and other decisions in an appropriate manner
by the use of data and mathematics to provide evidence (Durrani &
Tariq, 2012).
While other skills are also important to perform my work responsibilities and
duties in an effective way. I need to focus on these skills to enhance my
employability skills for this job position.
Threats and Opportunity of Personal Development Plan
The
personal development plan for the development of employability skills required
by the job position of Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO) can be influenced
by the threats and opportunities in the competitive labor market. For instance,
an increase in the trend of learning skills is the key threat for me as it will
result in an increase of employability skills in my competitors. High
competition definitely leads toward the decrease of likelihood to be recruited
by the selected company unless one has strong employability skills (Munishi,
2016).
Another threat is unavailability of the appropriate time to work on these
skills. Being a busy person I hardly get free time to spend on these skills
thus there are chances that time may affect my development plan. While on the
other hand opportunities associated with this plan will definitely support me
by positive influence on personal development plan and employability skills
learning plan. At first, in the market
training courses are quite common. I may attend these professional training
courses to practice these skills. Thus I can easily boost up my skills leaning
plan. Secondly, the availability of online lectures and tutorials for learning Decision
making skills and numeracy skills can support me to get development in these
skills while sitting at home (Munishi, 2016). Thus opportunities
can support me and benefit me in a positive way in case I take advantage of
these opportunities.
Current Sources for Improvement
Current sources for improvement
are the internet, books, local training course, and direct help from peer
groups and teachers. Moreover, classroom experiences like presentation and
course work activities can also support me to improve my employability skills.
