In today's dynamic business era the employability skills and
management skills enable the employee to deal with major challenges in the
organization. The employability skills include necessary knowledge for the
effective participation in the workforce and nontechnical skills of the
employee. This includes self-management, teamwork, communication skills,
problem-solving skills, and project management skills. These skills are often
referred to generic skills, key competencies, and capabilities of the worker (Durrani &
Tariq, 2012). The key trait of an individual worker in the
industry is adaptability. Adaptability is the desired quality for new hires
because Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO) requires flexibility and openness
to move towards the international destination of the company. Aside from
certain conditions of cross-cultural sensitivity, integrity, goal orientation,
motivation, and ability to handle the pressure increases the value of new
employees.
The interpersonal skills and art of
communication are essentially required for Chief Financial Control Officer
(CFO). In case of lack of these skills, the officer hampers the prospect of
different stages. The effective communication skills of employee in the
organization enable to resolve outstanding discrepancies, resolve and discuss
the effective driving conditions, and socialization function of the
organization. As a Chief Financial
Control Officer (CFO), I have improved my communication skills to deliver the
ideas clearly, confidently and effectively. During my academic career, I
improve my active listening skills and response skill to deal with the audience
and present my ideas confidently. The critical thinking and problem-solving
skills enable to apply knowledge for different problems and critically analyze
the issues. The problem-solving skills lead to higher career success because it
increases the ability to think critically, innovatively, creatively, and
analytically (Messum, et al., 2011). I have improved my
ability to apply the understanding and knowledge of different problems,
quantitative and qualitative analysis of activities across the company, and
implementation of new development embedded models for the higher expertise of
employees. I will be able to develop a guideline and practical pointers for the
employees in the company.
The use of interpersonal skills sustained basis of the
development program, and different communication skills will improve industry
linkage through international marketing. Mostly the industries today look for a
trained employee with manpower of marketing, sales, finance, HR and other large
perspectives of competency with the basic business framework. The cognitive
skills and improved functionality of Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO)
provide a favorable advantage to avail the opportunity of leading the company
with higher skills. The aim of the
present work was to explore my elements of employability skills according to
the industrial perspective along with the advantages of a successful
career. In order to achieve a
successful business career, flawless communication skills are highly required
in the organization. My prominent ability of communication skills both in
spoken and written confidently to deal with the circumstances and challenges of
my position as Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO) in the organization.
Most often employers
seek for a skill to develop a peaceful working environment and efficient team
working process (Durrani & Tariq, 2012). The skill of working with the team in
developing training programs enables the employee to go through the projects
and programs of the company with the other employees of the group. My team
building skills enable me to execute plans, organize them, and plan according
to the requirements. The skill of doing the work by proper management and
organization enables the employee to be self-sufficient for the work and
meeting the deadlines.
Employability skills are
important indicators for the performance of the employee. These skills serve as
cognitive factors for the judgment and analysis of the performance of an
individual (Durrani & Tariq, 2012). In case of lack of
these skills, the indications for the flaws of performance are expressed. For
the successful business career, the interpersonal and employability skills are
specially required. The companies search for efficient workers that can help
them in the growth of the company. My interpersonal skills will help me to
combat the challenges faced by the company and I will work as a shield and
guard during the adverse time (Bridgstock, 2009). The role of the Chief Financial Control Officer (CFO) in the companies is
to provide an excellent platform for the workers and other employees to groom
their employability skills. I will provide business training, learning, and
developing programs to the new recruit workers to assist them in improving
their skills and to make them suitable for the job positions of the company.
