Report on Ethical Responsibilities on the Nestle

Category: Business Ethics Paper Type: Report Writing Reference: HARVARD Words: 1300

I have chosen Nestle that is considered as the most hated company, people really very love to criticize it because Nestle had used unethical practices and that has faced the world’s longest-running boycott for the irresponsible marketing campaign of baby milk to mothers.

Nestle has also been criticized by the affected people for performing a large number of unethical business practices including the usage of the bad palm oil and other foods having most bad ingredients. A small number of people know about the Nestle and water issue, despite being a victim in performing the unethical practice of business, it is still the world’s largest manufacturer of bottled water. Actually, Nestle is so keen on the business of water.

Child Labor and Abuse in the Nestle

Almost all people love to eat chocolate, but some small amount of people know about the dirty things behind the production of chocolate. Cocoa beans are essential elements in the production of chocolates, for that purpose Nestle uses the child labors and their ages are usually between 12 to 15 years, so Nestle is not a stranger for performing this kind of unethical practices. The international fund of labor rights has been filed a lawsuit against Nestle on the behalf of three Malaysian Children. The children are also trafficked on a cocoa plantation and they were forced into slavery (Jr, et al., 2018).

The auditor of this report which is the association of fair labor describes that the various critical violations of Nestle own suppliers code. Child labor and abuse had not been checked. Many have been injured by the machetes when they are used to harvest.

Ethical Responsibilities of the Nestle

As we know that Nestle is a huge company in the world that grows its business day by day but there are performing many unethical practices that are demolishing the human rights, so being the largest industry in the world, Nestle has to amend in the company. I have some principle’s which could be applied to the Nestle organizational works that could make the company better.

Responsibilities of the Nestle

Human Rights of the Nestle

The company must need to make some kind of strategies for human rights that must be supported and respected the international protection by the company.

The Nestle should also take some record how many labors are working in the company and how the managers or project managers, supervisors or any other regarding the staff of all departments get work from the labors and company should make it sure that company is not demolishing the human rights.

Labor of the Nestle

Company business must do promote the freedom of the association where all the workers of the company feel free to work by their hearts and can also say their words freely and can share their ideas or experience for betterments and the second thing is that for making this kind of environment, the company needs to be aware that what kind of rights they have in the company for the collective bargaining.

The company should perform the elimination policy and strictly take a good step on it of all the forms of the forced and essential labors.

The company should know that child laboring is considered as a big crime in the world especially that child labors their ages are below 15. The company must have to take a further step against the child labors and must run the campaign to stop child labor in the world. But this kind of step will make a good impact on all companies and organizations whether they are big or small when Nestle itself stop laboring from own company.

Nestle company must have to perform an extra step on the labors which could be very helpful. The proposed company has to eliminate the distinction in the respect of the employment and such kind of occupation which are associated with the proposed company.

Environmental Principle or Approaches of the Nestle

The business of the company should also support precautionary approaches to environmental challenges. For that, the proposed company that must have to support or give it help to the precautionary methodologies which are made for making the environment better. It could be a big challenge of the environment, so the company has to accept this kind of challenges and make precautionary approaches applicable to the company.

Proposed Company (Nestle) has to perform a responsibility to begin a greater and highly appreciated approach for the environment. Undertaken responsibility is to promote the environment.

The Company should also be encouraged by the development. By developing the clear cut policies and programs to buy the better quality and material also should need to buy latest and extraordinary technology for better management of the waste materials of the company that could pollute the environment. So the company needs to take a step on it for maintenance and to make or buy some goods for environmental protection and for the preventions of the pollution. The company needs to do an assessment of the pollution and should perform any of the pollution control steps with respect to the protection of the environment.

Anti Corruption of the Nestle

The proposed company (Nestle) business should also have to take a strong and efficient step against the corruption in all of the forms that could be in the form of extortion and the bribery. Some company members could have a criminal mindset when they are doing their words and it will be dangerous for both company and other targeted customers, buyers or consumers.

Business Ethics of the Nestle

The important things in the societal environment are associated with the business. The several actions and the decision of the proposed company also have the ability to create an effective change in the societal environment which has both positive and negative impacts. However, the company never had to misuse the trust of the society on the proposed business.

In addition, company business appears in society to supply the products and their services to the targeted people or audience. The business first rule is that every business has its aim to make higher revenues and earn some profits. Business definitely runs the human beings and the decision and their action will make and cause of change in society.

They just need to give excellent ever service to its customers, consumers and its potential buyers and they have to make sure their product quality is excellent and better as well as will not create the negative impact of the company and the target customers.

Recommendations of the Nestle

The business will definitely grow when the proposed business’s products and services quality is better to satisfy customer needs and wants. They like to buy and every time they will give the preference to have it otherwise they will criticize and could openly challenge the quality and measure of your products.

The company should also avoid the child laboring and they must need to know that if they have desired their monopoly in the existing market to grow their business then they should analyze their policies and methodologies that could provide the extraordinary service to them.

The company should not repeat the unethical business practice in the future so that the proposed company could get from the customers back to use its products or services.
