Re: Proposing A Social Media Managing App.
The
purpose of the following proposal is to manage social media platforms of the
company due to the lack of social media specialists; leading to a risk of
losing a range of audience around the world. The manager has offered our team
the position of handling the company’s online account and suggests two
substantial applications that can help improve the company’s online presence.
Thus, we decided as a team to choose one between widely known apps; Boomerang
and MuseCam that could help in addressing the issue in connecting to the
company’s online audience.
Our Current Situation
Social
media wasn’t a strong platform around ten years ago because it didn’t even
exist. Our company had used to connect with its audience and customers using
our official website and phone number, which were easier yet not efficient.
Now we find ourselves in an era of exponential growth in several fields
within interconnectivity. Social media is widely popular between societies
nowadays; since it plays a big role in linking people with one another. Thus,
our company’s lack of social media specialist needs to be tackled and must
reconsider in improving its social media platform in order to provide our
clients with the most immersive experience that our agency can deliver.
There are certain obstacles and challenges that
can be effective when addressing the issue:
1.
Developing a social media strategy.
The strategy is
a summary of everything you plan to do and hope to achieve for your company throughout
social media, that can be daunting. (Beese, 2016)
2.
Handle multiple of social media accounts efficiently.
Controlling
more than one account in the same pace and level would be difficult and
stressful.
3.
Provide eye-catching content.
Establishing
a good quality content and idea that would please every type of client or
audience that the company owns. 86% of social media users follow a brand,
almost 60% of them are annoyed with too many promotions. (Beese, 2016). Thus,
taking consideration of whether the client would like it or not could be hard.
4.
Engaging in a Regulated Industry; reconsider
the area’s laws and legislations.
The most
important thing to do is familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations
that apply to your specific industry.
5.
Communicating with every customer and answer
all their questions.
Building
a strong and respectful relationship with the client, considering all the
possible questions they might ask, in order to have a realistic answer to it.
6.
Managing time.
Managing
all accounts and interacting with every client needs a full time.
If these
challenges are not taken into consideration it could supplement severe problems
to the company, from customers, reputation, and even presence; which could lead
to a massive decline in the company’s funds. If the company did not answer nor
contact every costumer when needed for instance; customers may lose interest
and respect, and switch into a more advanced and productive company; the
company would then lose their reputation. Social media presence has a strong
impact on clients since it is available to everyone; it is easier to
communicate with every single person whether they are in the same area as the
company, or another spot in the world and advertise and be productive and
creative. Thus, the challenges must be reconsidered and try to fix them, in
order to prevent any issues that can be accompanied it.
Our plan
We
believe that using one of the suggested apps (MuseCam or Boomerang) is a clever
way in managing social media efficiently, we envisage that it will bring profit
to the company and elevate the company’s reputation. The suggested applications
are different from one another, and they both have its specialties:
MuseCam is next
generation image editor that makes it easier to capture the perfect look for
your photos. Shoot and edit your images using film-emulating presets,
professional grade tools, and advanced camera controls. MuseCam offers a Manual
Camera, Tone Curves, Create Custom Presets & Filters, Crop, Rotate and
Tilt, and other Professional Image Adjustments. It also features a Journal
which is a collection of news, tips, features & interviews from the
creative community. MuseCam was created by a team of photographers and
creatives with the understanding that stories need to be shared. MuseCam offers
an instant share button to any of your social media accounts, or save it for
later on in your device’s camera roll.
Boomerang, however
is an app that is created specifically for Instagram that offers to create
captivating mini videos that loop back and forth, then share them with your
friends. Boomerang allows taking mini videos of your life and yourself using
the front and back facing camera, download and start capturing immediately, no
account is needed, and provide a share button that allows you to share your
videos on Instagram and Facebook, or save it to the device’s camera roll.

past week, graph 1 shows the ranking of MuseCam; graph 2 shows the ranking of
Boomerang:
Recommendations
Considering to all the graphs and figures
shown above, MuseCam application has a stronger content. Therefore, we mostly
recommend using MuseCam rather than Boomerang. MuseCam is widely popular.
According to App Annie (2018), MuseCam is ranked the 25th among all
the other photo editing apps in the US. Using MuseCam would earn a bonus to the
company regarding a wider audience. Following a massive increase in the
company’s funds. It is easy to use, edit photos in a creative way, and share it
with the clients or the whole company. This application increases productivity
and creativity within our company; the employees would earn a new skill and
experience when using the subjected app. It is an application that is available
to everyone for free on their iOS devices so it will be easy to contact with
every possible client.
Implementing
the plan, requires 4 major steps:

Step 1: Notify
all employees about the implementation of the two app.
Send a
memo to the company’s employees directing a meeting that will implement the two
suggested social media apps with a brief information about them.
Meet up
with the HR, and IT department to work on the process of the apps.
ü
Step 2: Install the two apps into the
employees’ devices.
Inform
the IT department to manually install the two apps into every employee’s
device.
ü
Step 3: Hire a specialist of the current apps.
Request
the HR department to find a specialist that is professional and well-informed
about the two apps, then later on the specialist would train the employees on how
to use the apps.

Step 4: Get feedback.
Get feedback from employees and clients after a
month of using both apps; by conducting a full survey that is managed by the
HR, in order to find the pros and cons in MuseCam and Boomerang and compare to
which has further impact.

1. Sharing the
document
The clients
and the employees would have an easier access to every social media account,
where they can instantly share their final product, allowing them also to save
it directly to their camera roll to save it for later and then share it
anywhere they want.
2. Increase
Productivity
Using the
application would increase productivity and creativity within the company.
Employees would put out their creative minds into a final product that could
attract client’s attention using various professional images.
3. Managing Time
If the company
start being active regarding their social media platform the employees will
have much time to complete other tasks concerning the company rather than
having the customers wait for the product to finish.
4. Be Organized
Employees will
be more organized when they divide their time, employees will finish their
tasks regarding in fulfilling the client’s needs throughout social media that
will be easy and more efficient, would please both sides from clients and employees.
5. Connect to
Customers
Social media
would offer the capability of connecting and advertising the company’s product with
different clients from all around the world, with an easier connection and the
availability to every single person that has a smart device.
6.
Offer a stress free area to the
employees
Employees will
be focused more on their work in a more applicable, fun and easier way; leading
to an increase in productivity and creativity.
7.
Minimize Financial Losses
Being able to advertise with a
wider audience using social media and create a professional content using
MuseCam would help increase the company’s financial gain and funds, resulting a
massive success regarding the company’s reputation.
8.
Increase employees’ skills
If every employee in our company
used the suggested application; they would earn new skills regarding computing,
multitasking, team work, and other hidden skills. Using the application would
give a great experience to the employees.
9.
Diversity in productions
Using the suggested applications
could offer a diversity in every product that the company produce, leading in
attracting every possible client that are following the company; since every
person has their own style of content.

In conclusion, this idea is a huge transformation
for the company’s reputation and funds since it will improve the company in all
areas and will increase the skills of the company’s employees. The employees will
have strong skills that can boost the relationship between the clients and the
employees. These recommendations such as sharing documents between the several
departments and be organized and structured will increase the efficiency of
communication on social media and improve regarding the company. In addition,
when employees improve their social media communication and are active using
MuseCam, the company would boost their reputation resulting in a financial gain
meaning an increase in the company’s funds. A massive reduction of stress is a
good impact on the company, earning more employees and increase productivity.
Employees will be optimistic and the work would be done in a short amount of
time.
Thus, if the company followed the phases of
this proposal; the company would earn much, they will be widely known, has a high
profit, and elevate productivity. The company would be one of the biggest
companies in the area, also could reach the whole world. Considering there are
many other competitive companies that are similar to our level; connecting with
the audience in an easier and efficient way would help exceed those companies
and go beyond the range. Naming us the world’s most successful companies.
