        A hobby is definitely not only describe as something that we all want to do in our ease time. Instead, a hobby is more like something that we would always make time for it. The reason is due to we can get relaxation and pleasure from doing an activity that we really like and enjoy to do it. 

        A hobby could also be defined as an activity that people regularly do to relaxing their mind and also get the pleasure from it.  Broad perceptions of hobbies are that some people have their mindset that hobbies are meant for people who could make time in their busy life. On the other hand, some people describe hobbies as something that will only be wasting your time.

However, since we are living in a modern, and busy life, hobbies could really relax our mind away from our regular hectic life. Now, in this article, I would like to discover the benefits of pursuing a hobby like mountaineering or hiking.

Statement of The Benefits of Pursuing a Specific Hobby

        Mountaineering or hiking has many benefits that we can get such as; fresh air that we can breathe, amazing views, and perfect natural surroundings to relaxing our body, mind, and soul. Hiking is also a fabulous way to challenge our adrenalin as well. Plus, hiking on a mountain could even turn out to a healthy pattern which would lead us to reach a healthy life. In fact, hiking is an ideal way to begin an exercise plan that would really beneficial to maintain our body shape as well. The reason is because hiking is basically a tool of strong cardio workout.

        Well, some people who might feel inconvenient to do running as a part of the workout, then walking is, indeed, an excellent cardio workout that able to burnout around 240 calories within an hour. In addition to this, there is a large assortment of hiking tracks that we can choose. As we all acknowledge that, hikers could walk as long and as far as they want to. For hikers, the only physical strain is walking along the mountains or hills.

        So, there are various definitions to describe the meaning of hiking. The definition of hiking in the US and Canada is a dynamic and long walk, which normally on tracks, within the rural area. Another definition comes from the Encyclopedia Britannica mentions that hiking is a natural exercise that able to promote physical health and fitness, comfortable and inexpensive, and it does not require for any specific tool.

        Hiking has turned out as one of the most wanted hobbies in the world nowadays. In addition to this, hiking has also been used in professional and academic sports institutions across the globe. For example, the military along with the police forces in the US utilize hiking as a portion of the regular training, with a purpose to get the fitness (Nindl, et al., 2017).

        My memorable experience in hiking I got in Switzerland, which is known as a country with many hiking tracks. The hiking track was quite long and difficult, along with the extremely sharp path along the way. That time, I went with a regular hikers group who are used to hike difficult tracks. Even though I was quite new, but I was still able to manage in catching up with the other members of the group.

        The view was extremely amazing and breathtaking. I still can remember how the cold wind was blowing strongly. Perfect weather also facilitated the beautiful view that captured from our journey. Right after hiking for about 3 hours, we all stopped by to get a break and also to take our food as well. All of us shared our food with each other and we also made some games which made the moment to be unforgettable. After the break, we continued our hike journey and it was an amazing feeling for all of us when we finally reached the destination. That was really one of the most unforgettable lifetime adventures for me. In fact, maybe that was an experience that shaped my life and has taught me to become brave to take an adrenalin challenge.

        In my study, I have found out that hiking is not only a simple hobby for everyone to have. More than that, hiking would also give us many positive advantages. One of the advantages of hiking is that hiking would able to release the endorphins and adrenaline from our body, which could lower our blood pressure, lessen depression and tension as well. Lots of researches also have presented that hiking also able to reduce the risk for us to get breast and colon cancer. Other advantages we can take from hiking are such as increases the bulk of our bone, reduce the risk of heart disease, strengthen our core, and also boost up our mood.

Conclusion on The Benefits of Pursuing a Specific Hobby

        In simple words, we can conclude that hiking is a rewarding hobby for us to do. Many people consider hiking as a great method to escape from our hectic and stressing life and go back to nature. Furthermore, hiking has also been considered as an ideal body exercise which would really able to improve our body shape. So, now it is clear that we should consider hiking as one of the best hobbies for anyone to have. Why? Because hiking is a natural walking activity which provides us with an effective workout benefits.

        Moreover, hiking is also defined as a safe walk throughout the visibly defined tracks along with the amazing surroundings of natural view. Many times, some of us might take a little walk to freshen up our mind from our routine busy life, or maybe to make up some important decisions. In consequence, hiking could be an ideal choice for us to relaxing our mind, and at the same time, also test out our skill and capability in taking adrenaline challenge. So, as a conclusion, hiking is indeed, a great hobby with many benefits for us.
