Essay on Professional Philosophy

    As professional teachers, I want to make my students mentally engaged in school learning and create a positive environment that helps students to learn efficiently in the classroom. I believe that teachers attitude can change the way students learn in the class, a positive attitude of teachers always help students to develop more interest in learning. For me, the learning is not about memorizing course but exploring, and the teachers need to provide the students enough space to develop their comfort level while learning any subject. It is also very important for the teacher to develop a good relationship with the students, so they do not hesitate consulting teacher, if they have any sort of problem in classroom or learning. I also believe in Metacognitive Strategies in the classroom, to develop confidence in the students to manage and organize their work themselves. So basically my goals are to make classroom environment comfortable and productive for the students as far as learning is concern.

         For the implementation of effective work environment, there is a need to maintain and organize the classroom setting. The environment needs to be very comfortable so the students have a sense of security and safety in the classroom. I also believe that for the ideal work environment in the class, the students also need to have a sense of responsibility towards this their environment. The students needs to keep the environment clean and organized. I also believed that learning should be fun and interesting for the students, so they not feel burden and can relax their mind. For this purpose, I encourage students play some games in the class and involve in activities, for example telling stories, singing poems etc. I would be happy if I not just teach the students but also have fun with them, for developing good relationship. I believe that the teacher should be a role model for the students and I have the set the example for the student of good attitude and noble behavior. I want to understand the problem of students, and would be happy if they share their problems with me. by doing so,  I can help them solve their issues in learning and show them the positive side  of learning. In the classroom, I always observe the behavior of students, so I can understand if any of my students have some issue in learning.

         I think education is the building blocks of a student personality and play a main role in his mental development. Teachers should not make the education and learning so specific for the students, and understand student’s strengths rather than judging and criticizing them. Developing good relationships with the students, I can guide them to be discipline, well organized and successful in their lives. If teacher effectively manage the students, she can not only develop good learning skills in the students also but also improve their interpersonal skills and creativity. Many of academic institutes want the teachers to be very specific while teaching and only focus on course, my teaching philosophy is quite different from this.
