Work
group is going to start their work as fundraiser. For these purpose different
strengths and skills are required to complete the task because not any project
becomes successful without proper strengths and planning and full efforts are also
required by the member of the group. Effective fundraising is considered the
most complicated part of successful charitable organizations, community
organizations and entrepreneurship. For any per4son who wants money to get the
benefit from fundraising must appoint professional fundraisers. Fundraiser must
know about the legal requirements and knowledge related to independent
fundraising. Different sorts of skills are required for professional
fundraisers. Successful fundraiser must know all the positions and techniques
that make the fundraising more successful. There are some basic skills that
must be present in the fundraiser i.e. sales skills, technology skills,
interpersonal skills, communication skills, judgment and miscellaneous skills. (DOYLE 2018)
Many
single persons entering in such profession at the start of their career and
many people are not aware of qualities and skills that must be present in a
person who is going to appoint as fundraiser. So there must be some important
qualities which should be present in the skilled fundraiser so that it must
aware of all the techniques of donor and achieve its target most efficiently.
The list of top ten qualities of a successful fundraiser are: presence,
perseverance, high energy, love the work, high expectations, concern for
people, hard worker, ability to motivate, good listener and impeccable
integrity.
For
fundraisers, it is more than just important to express how strongly they feel
about the project on which they are working. Breast Cancer is a very strong
issue and needs to be addressed at all costs and people are quite aware of this
disease as well. With some powerful interpretational skills, it would be better
to persuade the people into playing a part in gathering of funds.
Personally,
I have great confidence, organizational, and planning skills. Thus, I can play
an effective role as a fundraising team leader. I cannot only assemble the team
members but motivate them as well in order to convey the message and get funds
using different ways such as selling some snacks and little accessories.
My
skills and strengths would be important to help the fundraising project because
I can optimize the communication skills of the whole team and guide the members
accurately in order to convey the mission and never lose the hope while
carrying out the mission. Usually, the management of team members is very
difficult, however, I know just the right way to make sure that my team never faces
problems while going along with the project. I will find the members who are
just as passionate about the breast cancer issue as me. The only skill that I
lack is the skill of designing, however, I will find a member who can fill out
that gap for me.
The
team members that I will require in order to make this fundraising project
successful must have the power to sustain a little emotional damage. While
meeting different people, it is always not necessary that they will be easy to
approach. There will be a diversity of people that the group will have to meet.
That is why I require the partners who have the capability of translating and
conveying the message even to them in the best possible way. Moreover, I will
require the teammates who can easily tolerate their anger and manage it in such
a way that no matter what happens, it never becomes visible.
After
meeting such individuals, I will convey the message and the benefits of
fundraising projects to them in the best way. With some training, I will make
my charisma appear and approach them in an efficient and effective way.
Pursuing such amazing partners will not be so difficult because they will be
supporting the passion that I have. If they have a situation that prevents them
from joining the team, I will help them.
If
there is something that is stopping them from joining the fundraising team, I
will sacrifice the time that I have in order to pursue them and use their
skills to raise the funds for the issue that has become global over the time.
Motivating
the partners who share the same ideals as mine will be easy to motivate. If
they ever are depressed about the lack of results, I will use my logical
reasoning and be truthful and honest with them. Nothing will be better than to
be honest about the situation with them. If I let them know the true density of
situation, I will be able to motivate them for sure. This way I will make my
team effective in the fundraising project and make sure to collect the funds. (Lysakowski 2014)
