Report on Clinical Assessment Report

        The 10 years old boy fell down on his back and got injuries in his back. Spinal code and vertebral column support a person in moving and walking therefore incident made him unable to move his arms and legs. The medical team took tests to understand the physical and mental abnormalities of the Allen.

Clinical Assessment

Normal/Healthy Function of Vertebral Column and Spinal Code

        The normal function of the vertebral column is to protect the spinal code. Vertebral column also support the human being in balancing weight of the body while standing and walking. The prime function of the SC is assist the functions of Central Nervous system. Through the spinal code the brain of the human being connects with the nervous system of the body.

Test Results

Cognition

        The cognition test access the brain functioning and memory of the person. The boy was aware of the time and day of the accident. In the test medical team asked him about the location and time of the incident and he told all the right answers. Thus test results project that his memory was working normally.

Reflexes

        Reflexes tests are physical tests usually conducted in the spinal code injury. The reflexes test was taken for the boy to understand whether the spinal code of the boy was working normally or not. The medical team tap the body to determine what areas of the body are affected with the stretches. In accordance to test results minimal biceps stretch reflexes are found on body. The spinal code of the boy was not working well in accordance to the test.

Sensations

        The sensation test was taken to understand whether the person was in his senses or not. Injuries in the spinal code and brain can effect on the sensation system of the affected person. According to the results the person was in his senses. He was alert and awake.

Voluntary actions

        The voluntary action test elaborate the capability of the affected person towards walking, standing and running. The test was taken by moving the body parts and asking to the boy to move. The test results project that the person was unable to move and walk. The legs and lower chest part of the body was not working well.

Catheter

        The Allen needed catheter for incontinence in urinary. The Allen needed Catheter to drain urine from the bladder. The lower part of the body was unable to work efficiently because of injury in the spinal code therefore Allen needed catheter.

Long-term outcomes

The long-term outcomes:

Allen will get treatment and become able to stand on his legs

Allen will get surgery in the spinal code and become ale to recover completely.

Conclusion

        Allen got injuries in the spinal code. The cognition, sensations, voluntary actions and reflexes test are conducted for the clinical assessment of the patient. The identification of the abnormalities supported the medical team to find out the appropriate treatment for the injuries.
