There can be many obvious reasons
to say that a leader and a manager are different from each other. The first
difference is that leaders make their employees to follow them, whereas managers
are the ones, who hire people to work for them. The both can have power and
control in their occupation, but leaders don’t try to use their power and
control to ask employees to work, but managers use their power and authority to
make sure that employees are working well. Leaders tend inspire and influence
their employees by leading by examples, whereas managers don’t influence
employees, rather they take control of things through their power. The leaders
help employees to challenge a set pattern, and look for new opportunities,
whereas managers don’t do that, rather they believe in following the set patterns.
These are some of the facts, which differentiated leaders from mangers. And
this difference is also quite evident in this case, as Boyd has approach of a
leader, whereas Simpson was using a manager approach.
