The organizational structure of
the companies represents the behavior and relationship of the employees and
managerial staff in the organization. Flexible and modern organizational
structure is the structure that provides authority and importance to the
employees by allowing them to take the decision towards the duties and tasks
given to in order to avoid the stressful and rigid commutation and relationship
that can reduce the employee's interest towards the job. The rigid policies in
the organizational structures cause lax performance.
Employees want to be appreciated
and trusted by the managers. In case, it the policies are strict and rigid it
can cause a negative impact on the suspicion and abilities of the employees.
The quality of work and tardiness issues can reduce the abilities of workers in
the organizations (Olson, Slater and Hult 2005). The unfair
treatment of managers with the employees in the employees induces a negative
impact on the loyalty of employees. The lower self-esteem in employees can lead
to legal issues or self-termination.
The findings of the research can
be concluded as the Saudi Electricity Company is earning success in the market
because of the strong communication channels and coordinating relationship
within employees and managerial staff because of the modern organizational
structure adopted by the organization. However, there are some recommendations
that need to be taken into consideration to bring more improvement in the
organizational performance. Saudi Electricity Company should have a proper
system of performance appraisal as a benchmarking technique can be used to
evaluate and measure the changes in performance. (Price 2011) Thus through this
evaluation organization will easily identify the poor performing employees
taking advantage of the flexible and modern organizational structure.
