Culture and leadership is the
collection of ideas which focus on unified work rather than on different ideas.
Everyone work for one company despite of their cultural, linguistic or
geographical differences. The multinational company is Pakistan based and has
employees from Saudi Arab, Pakistan and US. The culture of Pakistan is
different than European culture but is much more similar to Arabic heritage as
one common factor among both countries is Islam. But under good leadership
everybody works together for the wellness and prosperity of the company. New
trends and perspectives are learned and understood. Hard working employees
blend in different culture and work efficiently in order to adapt and live in a
culture different than theirs.
Different people from world can be
advantageous as every individual is different from another and has different
values and learned strategies which can boost up functioning of company. House
et al.’s (2004) did research on connection between leadership and culture which
caused research to widespread around the globe. Nine cultural dimensions were
developed i.e. uncertainty avoidance, power distance, institutional
collectivism, in group collectivism, gender egalitarianism, assertiveness,
future orientation, performance orientation and human orientation. GLOBE
studies provide close perspective of cross cultural leadership, and underscore
the complexity of leadership with respect to every culture. (HEATHFIELD 2018)
