Motivation is the key issue for an
organization working in any foreign country in the world. Keeping the South
African perspective in view, if a company expands its business to South Africa,
then it is important to analyze that which job motivations are more important
in the eyes of South African work force. Looking at different motivations, job
satisfaction is the most critical motivation for South African employees. If
they have permanent employment with job security, then they show more committed
and motivated behavior for their organizations. The second important motivation
for them is promotion and growth in the organization. They don’t generally go
for unstable employers; rather they chose long term employers, where they can
grow with the passage of time. Good wages along with job security is another
important thing for South African employees to keep them motivated & loyal.
An interesting job also keeps them motivated (SOUTH AFRICAN SOCIAL ATTITUDES SURVEY, 2018)
