I have learned from this study the managers must be aware of their
personal bias when hiring new employees. From this study, I learnt that, as a
manager, I need to question my hiring decisions to make sure I employ a diverse
range of people.
The process of the dealing and controlling
things and people in effective ways is considered as the management. The absent
of the management makes organization structure messier and UN arranged then productivity
of the organization will be declined. Few of the attributes are required for
the mangers must be effective in organization as;
The purpose and task must be
clear
Having good organizational skills
Good delegation skills
The ability for communicating
task
The ability to negotiate various
administrative
The above discussed artifact has
addressed the key functions of the mangers. Managers are requiring to ensure
and manage diversity in the organization as diversity can bring performance
improvement. Diversity incudes age, ethnicity, and culture differences in the
workforce. Diversity can result in increase conflict if not managed properly (Lecture
3: The Environment of Diversity). Basically, in the past business was limited
to the local markets only therefore managers were not responsible to increase
diversity and cross-cultural relations. Somehow, now diversity is getting
common in the organizations as managers are interested to create competitive
edge in the competitive market through diverse workforce. Managers
are require to develop cultural intelligence in
order to ensure cultural metacognition and cross-cultural skills. Digital technologies
support cross-cultural communication and thus managers can communicate with
their employees in other countries (Lecture 4: The Challenges of Managerial
Communication). Moreover, management also includes creative problem solving by
organizing, coordinating, controlling, planning, and commanding (Lecture 7:
Leading to build trust in a global context).
