The
total number of employees is insufficient and labeling takes too much time, to
increase output labor should be increased.
The lettuce handling should be given importance because of keeping the
pathogen effects away. Pesticides can be
used to limit chances of pathogen effects and thus yield can be enhanced (Hernandez, et
al., 2015).
Hard
work is required because of high competition in the market and to ensure
quality standards. The greenhouse can be used for maintaining weather
conditions as weather uncertainties cannot be avoided and controlled thus
output can be increased. For the problem
of water weight loss, the greenhouse can provide the solution. Scientific
methods can be used to ensure a safe environment in the workplace. The company
should make it confirm that earth is without protuberances before planting
lettuce and this will also provide good soil that supports the growth of
plants. Thus through this chances of diseases can be reduced and the company
can ensure good health of plants. The company should try to use raised beds for
harvesting lettuce that prevents the plants from soil compaction and other
issues.
The management is not efficiently balancing
the input and output costs of the transformation process. The company should
have capabilities to address and deal with the weather conditions changes and
other uncertainties (Barbosa, et al., 2015). A single person
cannot control the weather changes, in fact, the company needs to use the best
methodology for maintaining the weather conditions to curb the problems. Thus the company can compete their
competitors fairly. They should always have information about competitors and
knowledge to remain ahead of their competitors forever. The response of the
company is crucial for the competition in order to expand sales and build
competitive advantage.
Customer
feedback can help out the company in identifying the needs for improvement and taking
actions for making the customers satisfied. Therefore companies should pay
attention to the customer’s feedback. There are several ways of getting
feedback as by investing in consultant or third party to monitor the perceived
values of the company online and by getting the idea about the area where the
company is not doing right with the customers. Thus the company for the
solution company will select the customer-facing employees.
The
firm should have a monitoring system for performance. There is a need to make
it sure that firm is encouraging to maximize the high production volume.
However, it also appraises that whether all employees are working in accordance
with the expected performance level, or in case an employee is capable to work according
to the standards and expected performance level than whether we should replace
him or not? While there should have been understanding in the company for the
management of the overhead. In the case of excessing overheads the company
should make it sure that they are not affecting the overall performance of the
company. Therefore the company should take the notice of all the spending of
the company and then they should select the spending that can be decreased and
reduced. The company should scale down all the unnecessary customer services
offered by the company in the market.
