Miscommunication is the
root cause of a lot of disagreements and issues. Employees should be asked to
discuss matters with each other. A large number of conflicts can be resolved
only by discussion. Written communication is another type of discussion. When
one of the person or party is short tempered, ask them to write down their
ideas and share with the other party. (Dreu, Evers, Beersma, & Kluwer, 2001)
An example of
miscommunication is when someone says that though I work enough but my fellows
get more praise than me. What he means by this is that my fellows are making
their name in the market and I am the one left behind. He doesn’t mean that he
is jealous or obnoxious of his colleagues but it is a kind of ask for help. He
wants help from company and fellows to make his name just like his colleagues.
This problem arose just because of communication gap. Everybody wants
recognition and just by appreciating your junior or employee you can make him
confident.
