In this
case a teenage boy in Hong Kong suspected of his girlfriend murder during his
visit to Taipei, and since the city has no deal of extradition with the
Taiwan and not recognize its jurisdiction, that made this case very complicated
for the legal authorities of Taiwan and Taipei to handle. In spite of preceding
association between bureaucrat in both places – in sharing ideas and arresting
suspect – some of the tribulations arise in court under this murder case. Chan
Tong-kai, was just a 19 years old boy and at Polytechnic University’s Hong Kong
Community College associate degree student is alleged of killing Poon HI-wing
who was a 20-year-old, from Hong Kong. On February 8, Chen with his girlfriend
went to Taiwan, but Chan go back to the Hong Kong without Poon (Bomboy 2018). The boy carrying a
big pink baggage after inspection earlier that day in a Taipei hotel, and they
alleged Poon’s body was within baggage. The Taiwan prosecutor is inquiry a
Canadian spectator over a case of fraud concerning Canadian nationals and
Taiwanese. According to the Justice
Department of Taiwan’s said it would attempt to get conformity from the
side of the Hong Kong to relieve the examination and any ultimate punishment of
the murderer (Bernhardt 2012 ).
