information and knowledge revolution. It reflects the conversion of world from
industrial to informational society. Following, this shift the world has
converted in to digitalize and globalize word.
ICT is a driving force of globalization as well as of the digitalization
of the world. The phenomenon of globalization is confined to financial market
rather it includes the whole range of economic, political, social and cultural
aspects of life. The information and Communication Technology is an electronic
system of transmission, procession, reception and retrieval of information.
ICT offers the best opportunity to the
developing countries to ensure their rightful position in the global economy. Asia
has the most dynamic, diversified and largest economies of the world. Most of
the Asian countries such as China and India are making heavy investments in the
digital infrastructure to ensure the achievement of opportunities for
governments, business and general public for sustainable economic growth,
increased productivity and improved life standards respectively.

and influence on the global economy.
Asia is not the largest continent of the world
by the land area but it is also the biggest in terms of population. Asia being
the most populous continent of the world accounts around 60% of world’s
population. The developing countries in Asia are committed adapt ICT
integration on constant basis to ensure economic growth and development. China and India the two most populous
counties are among the fastest growing nations in the world by focusing on the
ICT integration.
