The growth of Asian countries in the 21st
century is based in on the fact the how effectively and efficiently the ICT has
been implemented on the state, industrial or organizational level. The IT and
technological advancement has considerably improved the level of productivity
and proficiency. Governments are using centralized information system to ensure
the best interest of the people. Organizations have aligned the organizational
strategies with the improved technological competencies of the firm that
results in improved productivity and improved quality of the products (Bloom, 2014).
In the developing countries ICT has enabled the
companies to achieve workforce diversification by establishing Virtual teams (Shachaf, 2008). In this way, the
developing countries are sharing the knowledge, information and expertise of
professional working in developed countries. ICT has also increased the competencies of the
people in the developing countries. However, along with all these advantages
and benefits some draw back are also associated with the ICT advancement. Easy
access to internet and abundant information had also increased the rate of
cyber-attacks and data-breaches in the developing countries. Therefore, Cyber
security and data privacy has become big concern for the developing countries.
