Introduction on Current Status in Clinical Technologies

        This writing throws light on the use of healthcare technologies in Saudi Arabia and in-depth knowledge and status of these uses. Moreover, consistent supply of these healthcare services in addition to the thorough research in necessary to improve the services of healthcare. This study also includes the knowledge of upcoming and advanced opportunities in the results of the research in order to build up the knowledge of medical personnel to take healthcare services to next level.

    Predictive analytics are very important and crucial in any healthcare system. Electronic Medical Record is very important for countries like Saudi Arabia to improve its analytics. Reality is quite opposite and Saudi hospitals mostly lack up to date software of analytics (Hana Alharthi 2018).

    Information system is also limited to a small number of hospitals. An estimation of 10 million dollars waste is made due to the 52 failed projects of IT from the year 2007 to 2011[56].

    An extreme shortage of researches in the field of CDSSs is found out in Saudi Arabia, by the IS research studies. (Alsulame et al., 2016).

    In order to improve the healthcare quality system, investigation of the optimal use of CDSS is suggested by many well-known people (Alqahtani et al., 2016).

    According to Alsulame et al. (2016) investigation of e-health services in Saudi Arabia is crucial to know their impact so that proper knowledge is available on this topic.

    Alkraiji, Jackson, and Murray (2011) further said that Saudi Arabia has to face many problems in the implementation of advanced technologies. Although government of Saudia Arabia encourages the implementation of up to dated system but organizations had to face many problems(Alqahtani et al., 2016).

    Alqahtani et al. (2016) found out  new methods to make the CDSSs more effective so that it can result in the better clinical practices in future.

    Moreover, according to this study in order to make CDSS more successful correction of all the technical and healthcare data and content should be made with keen interest and eye. This data should be revised timely to keep it up to dated and reliable. Also, system should procide the in understandable  and easy language so that effective care of patient is possible (Alqahtani et al., 2016).

    According to the results of another study which was conducted in many hospitals coming under the supervision of Ministry of Health, these hospitals have to improvise their software. The restructured system included the clinical technologies and CDSS to make the clinical practices simple (Alsulame et al., 2016).

    People and organizations have now come to the conclusion that healthcare system needs to make their software and computers more efficient if they want to provide good healthcare to their patients and people of Saudia.

    To make the provision of good healthcare services certain, Saudi Arabian hospitals are making the use of CDSSs more and more. Only 34.5% hospitals use clinical decision support system according to a study conducted in 29 hospitals of Riyyadh (Alsultan, Khurshid, Salamah, Mayet, & Al-jedai, 2012).

    According to Zaman at el, 2018 a study was conducted in three main hospitals of Makkah, Saudia Arabia and 51 samples were collected overall. All these samples are related to the administration of hospital as well as the medical staff of hospital. It also includes the staff who is involved in provision of best health care facilities to people of Saudia on daily basis.

Results on Current Status in Clinical Technologies

        E-health is also used by the major hospitals of Saudia like King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC), King Faisal Hospital (KFH) and Al Noor Specialist Hospital who use these in specific facilities. Lack of computer and lack of technical staff is one side of story and requirements of costs and technical and experienced staff is another challenge which it has to face.
