Introduction of Applied Finance

        The aim of this report id to provide deep insights regarding the financial situation of Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) and how the organization is performing in the Telecom Sector of Saudi Arabia. The report will not only focus on the financial condition of Mobily but will also provide a brief overview regarding the Telecom sector of Saudi Arabia. Over the years the telecom industry of Saudi Arabia has experience growth which allow telecommunication corporations to expand and generate significant amount of profits. In the year 2018 the mobile subscribers gave grown dramatically. In the first quarter of 2018 mobile subscription increase up to 42 million. In Appendix 1 the figure shows the mobile internet Subscribers over the years. In the report the financial analysis of Mobily is performed through conducting common size analysis, financial ratio analysis & analyzing the capital structure to provide critical overview of the company financials.

            Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) is a major telecommunication service providing organization in Saudi Arabia The organization was established in the year 2004 and it was the second organization in that year which get the GSM license. The organization begin its mobile services in the country in the year 2005 through which the corporation become a major competitor of Saudi Telecom Company (STC).  The organization provide mobile phone services, fixed line and internet services to the people of Saudi Arabia. Over the years the corporation has grown significant and have grabbed significant market share which allow Mobily to become the second largest telecommunication company in Saudi Arabia. In Appendix 2 the market share of the major Saudi Arabian Corporation are presented. The UAE organization Etisalat owns 27.45% of the organizations shares where as GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) owns 11.85% of the corporation’s shares.
